| Macedonian Culture & Overview |

Macedonia is a pack based mainly around the Greek gods and goddesses. While it isn't required of your character to believe in the Greek gods, we will not allow them to be put down under any circumstances. The gods are a very important part of Macedonia, and are especially important to the aeschylus and the royal line. To disrespect the gods is a crime punishable by whatever consequence the aeschylus come up with, normally based on the severity of the crime.

While Macedonia may be based on ancient Greek culture, anyone wishing to join will NOT be forced into the religion of the original Macedonian wolves. Macedonia allows all different kinds of religions, as long as you keep to yourself and do not insult any other wolfs religion openly, and it's highly disrespectful to even insult someone behind their back. | Ceremonies & Festivals |

All of the customs of Macedonia, ranging from simple ceremonies all the way up to huge festivals. Some ceremonies/festivals may only be observed by certain members of the pack, while others may be observed by all of Macedonia. Different festivities may honor a certain God/deity, it all varies.

| Ceremonies |

The Ceremony of Alekto
Held when young members reach the age of one. Only the wolves participating in this ceremony and those older may observe this ceremony. The name 'Alekto' means 'unceasing', to bless the members participating in the ceremony with unceasing growth and life. This ceremony is held by the Adonia.

What happens during the ceremony?
During this ceremony, the yearlings will be called to the province of Erythrae, where they will be blessed and wished an eventful and healthy life. Then each yearling will be sent off to the Glacial Beach, where they are expected to hunt and bring back and offering for the Gods. Yearlings who are unsuccessful in the hunt will be given the chance to rest up and then set off to hunt once more. If a yearling fails to bring back an offering on their second mission, they are sent to the Ancient Forest on their last chance mission; should a yearling fail this test, then they will be forced to stay in the rank of Laos for a year, unable to move up in rank.


The Ceremony of Ariadne
This ceremony is held to bless the gift of a new generation. This ceremony is held the day after a female has given birth to a litter. The name "Ariadne" means 'utterly pure', and the ceremony was named such in the belief that all children are born pure, untainted. Only females and the current Althaea may attend this ceremony.

What happens during the ceremony?
The new mother and the females that attend the ceremony will gather around in a loose circle. The puppies will be presented and their names recited then, and the new mother is given an assortment of gifts( flowers, skins to let the pups sleep on, etc. ). After all of this, the Adonia will bless the children and their mother. It's a rather simple ceremony.

| Festivals |

The Festival of Virginity
A festival held for the younger members of the pack - to celebrate their purity in the eyes of the Gods. Only the young and virgin to sexual encounters may attend; doubles as a match-making opportunity, as well. *NOTE: Young females(or males) that have been raped may still attend; Macedonia does not believe in rape, and if it's forced penetration then it does not count as losing one's virginity in the eyes of Macedonian wolves. IF the rape victim chooses not to take up that vision, s/he may visit the pack ADONIA only, and there she will grant the wolf renewed virginity through a secret ceremony.

| Macedonia History |

Orion established the Macedonia lands that Charybdis and Chiron once use to live on with their family. The Macedonia Kingdom along with Orion was the first king and kingdom. Orion’s brother whom was the leader of the army, expanded there land and territory to make their pack bigger and stronger. Orion’s brother Alex started a dispute between the two packs that Macedonia was stuck between, their idea was to drive them from their land and make there land stronger.

The war that happened lasted 3months long and many wolves lost their lives. Once everything died down and Orion knew that he had his chance, he strived to make the Macedonian Army stronger. While helping his pack in every way that he could he came across Artemis, he once and always mate. Years passed and wolves dared not come anywhere near his pack if so it was only to join. Orion’s brother and great ranks helped to make Macedonia a powerful pack, and even outsider wolves would only stop to say how strong a pack Orion has be granted from the gods. Orion’s brother Zeus soon left the pack with the Macedonia army to claim more land for their growing pack. Most of the Macedonian Army returned, Zeus however did not. Not showing any pain for the death of his brother (Pain is weakness and wasn’t shown in the pack) they set up a festival and burned his body that night, so his ashes will eventually be lifted to the gods.

The next day Orion was defeated, but only for a small portion of his land. He saw this has a bad sign, a sign that could have been from Hades himself. Loosing the portion of his land however caused Macedonia back to where they started, and this made Orion very furious and therefore he left the pack under his mates commanded and left to find a wolf of great power. He did find what he was looking for, Apostle and Lydia, two of the best and strongest wolves to lead his army. With the agreement of food and shelter, Apostle and Lydia agreed to lead his army and get his land back. But before they could act quickly, the pack known as the Remons, wanted to make a deal, they would give back the small portion of land they won and make an alliance with Orion’s pack once they got the Western side of the land just beyond the pack’s borders. Orion and Artemis sat down with the Alpha and talked it over, for supplies and a pup from the royal linage they became friends instead of enemies. Just like The God of Sun and Reason (Apollo) wanted.
