THE AESCHYLUS
Ajax: None.
The king of Macedonia, the alpha male; he deals with the most important matters within the pack, and makes final decisions on most subjects that have been brought up. The Ajax is the one who appoints wolves to their ranks, gives ceremonies and rights of passage to the males of the pack. Along with the Adonia, this wolf is one of the most important wolves within the pack. In times of war, the Ajax will lead the Eutropia alongside the Eustathios. He has power over everything done within the borders of Macedonia.
Adonia: Charybdis
The queen of Macedonia, the alpha female; she deals with the most important matters within the pack, and makes final decisions on most subjects that have been brought up. The Adonia is the one who appoints wolves to their ranks, gives ceremonies and rights of passage to the females of the pack. Along with the Ajax, this wolf is one of the most important wolves within the pack. In times of war, the Adonia will deal with keeping the homestead safe by gathering everyone in the main den, and would lead the Guard of the Adonia along with the Ares Enyalius. The Adonia is always expected to have at least some knowledge in the field of medicine. She has power over everything done within the borders of Macedonia.
- Legatus: Nukpana
The Legatus is the main beta rank under control of solely the Adonia. The Legatus can be male or female, and has many of the powers that the Adonia and Ajax have, such as promoting/demoting ranks, holding ceremonies and granting permission to breed. The Legatus is also a double rank, meaning that most of the time the wolf in the rank of Legatus also has another rank, such as Anaxathos or Eutropia.
Aineius: None.
The Aineius is the heir to the throne of Ajax. This wolf must always be male. The Aineius does not have to be royal spawn - this wolf can be any Macedonian under the age of two that the Ajax selects to succeed him based on the judgement of the Areopagus and the Ajax himself. This wolf has the power to accept/deny, promote/demote under watch of the Adonia & Ajax, and may leave the pack borders freely( must tell the Ajax/Adonia, or else is considered a traitor ).
Isis: None.
The Isis is the heir to the throne of the Adonia. This wolf must always be female. The Isis does not have to be royal spawn - this wolf can be any Macedonian under the age of two that the Adonia selects to succeed him based on the judgement of the Areopagus and the Adonia herself. This wolf has the power to accept/deny, promote/demote under watch of the Adonia & Ajax, and may leave the pack borders freely( must tell the Ajax/Adonia, or else is considered a traitor ).
THE THEOPHILUS
The Notitia: None.
The Notitia is the high priestess of the pack, basically. She deals with reading star signs and omens sent out by the Gods; needless to say, for those who believe in the Gods, she's a very powerful figure. The Notitia is oftentimes also called a healer, for while the Althaea heals with herbs and medicines, the Notitia supposedly heals with the powers of the Gods. This isn't a proven method, however. This rank is a similar one to the rank of Anacletus, however the Notitia is a specialist instead of a generalist in the study of the Gods. The Notitia is held in very high respect among the pack, and she works very closely to the Eruditio, who is often a mate to the Notitia( this is not required ). She focuses on the more positive mannerisms of the Gods, and is the one to bless things such as births and matings. The Notitia has the power to accept/deny wolves into/from the pack.
The Eruditio: None.
The Eruditio is the high priest of the pack. He deals with reading star signs and omens sent out by the Gods, however, he is a wolf that keeps to the shadows for the most part, believing that too much interaction with the public will taint his ability to speak with the Gods. Oftentimes his visions and messages are carried out by the Notitia. This rank is a similar one to the rank of Anacletus, however the Eruditio is a specialist instead of a generalist in the study of the Gods. The Eruditio deals with the less than positive happenings, such as deaths and battles. The Eruditio has the power to accept/deny wolves into/from the pack.
The Anacletus: None.
The Anacletus is the general priest of Macedonia, a scholar in the studies of the Gods. This wolf is a tutor to the pups of Macedonia. The Anacletus plays a very important role in the upbringing of the pups of the pack, teaching them the laws and the ways of the Gods and how to respect them.
The Thanatos: Nukpana
The Thanatos is the head executioner of Macedonia, one of the most skilled in the art of assassination and warfare overall. The Thanatos has some power over the assassins of the pack, and has full power over all of the exectioners and any wolf below him in rank class. The Thanatos answers mainly to the Adonia, though in the abscence of an Adonia the Thanatos will answer to the Ajax, and in times of war the Thanatos would most likely accompany the Adonia to war meetings and the battle fronts. The Thanatos controls the rank of Eusebios.
- The Carnifex: Alexios
The Carnifex is the co-head executioner. This wolf is picked by the Thanatos to become their replacement, should something ever happen to the Thanatos. In addition to such, when the Thanatos is out of Macedonia's reach, the Carnifex would be the one in charge until the Thanatos returned.
The Phalanx: Sirius
The Phalanx is the head assassin/spy of Macedonia. They work somewhat closely with the Thanatos, but unlike the Thanatos, the Phalanx answers mainly to the Ajax. In the abscence of an Ajax, they answer to the Adonia. They hold full power over the assassins/spies, and a little control over the exectioners. This wolf is a specialist in stealth and gaining information as well. The Phalanx controls the rank of Eudoxia.
The Eustathios: Iro
The Eustathios is the head of the army, possibly the second most important role within the pack. S/he has full control over the army and how they train, advised closely by the Ajax and Adonia themselves. The Eustathios is normally one of the strongest wolves in the pack, and definitely one of the most efficient wolves in all forms of combat and warfare. In times of war and need, the Ajax and Adonia normally seek out the Eustathios to help keep the pack out of a panic.
The Althaea: Hermes.
The Althaea is the rank equivalant of healer in other packs. In Macedonia there is believed to be only one Althaea needed, so this wolf should be the most experienced in the field of healing and medicine. The Althaea treats everything from scraped paws to gaping battle wounds, and must be ready to act at a moments notice. Normally this rank belongs to a male, but it is not unheard of to have a female Althaea.
The Vasilios: Mystery
The Vasilios is the most trusted Alec. This is usually a female, but on occasions it can be a male. But the main factor in this job is that they are very trusted and as such watch the Royal's pups. They are charged with keeping them safe at all times, just like a puppy in a cotton room, but they are not to enter any exceptionally dangerous situations or the Alphas will be very very unhappy with the Vasilios.
The Aglaia: Artemis
The Algaia is the storyteller of Macedonia. They are seen as lorekeepers and historians, and are held very highly in the hierarchy of Macedonia due to their knowledge. Most of the time the Algaia is directly related to the royal family, which means they would be the one of the first to know of important events to happen and therefore are able to keep track of everything better. The Algaia is often looked to when laws are to be recited, and a history teacher to the youth.
The Anaxathos: Saharah | Oidsxi
While in most packs this rank, the equivilant of advisor, would be listed above any beta rank and nearly under the alphas, Macedonia has a different way of doing things. Seeing as the alphas look to the priests of the pack to gain knowledge straight from the Gods, an advisor's personal opinion is placed second. A close second, but second. Still a very trusted wolf and known for their helpful insight, this wolf is usually came to to get friendly advice rather than to advise battles and make large decisions for the pack.
THE GUARD OF THE ADONIA
The Ares Enyalius: Abner
The Ares Enyalius is the head warrior of the bears. While he often helps the Eustathios in training the army, this bears main focus is keeping his own warriors in shape and keeping them all focused and on their toes. The Ares Enyalius is one of the most respected and feared creatures in Macedonia, and others would do well to respect his authority. The Ares Enyalius, while ranking under the beta core, is one of the most powerful members of the pack, authority-wise. His word is held highly in the eyes of the Adonia. Crossing him is like crossing the Adonia herself.
The Zosimus: Ailith
This bear, which is always female, is almost as respected as the Ares Enyalius. The Zosimus is one of the most experienced in battles and war tactics, very intelligent when it comes to different types of warfare. For a bear to become a Zosimus, they must have experienced at least one war, or enough battles to make up for a war. Most likely the Zosimus is the most powerful bear in the Guard, regardless of age or connections.
The Kratos: None.
The Kratos is the most intelligent of the bears, yet the least aggressive and least likely to actually participate in battles. This bear is looked upon no less than any other of the Guard - the Kratos is an equal, due to their sheer knowledge in battle and their ability to teach others their ways. Much like the Zosimus, actually, only this bear doesn't fight on the front lines of the battles.
The Tycho: Lutalo
The Tycho is likely the youngest of the Guard, and the least experienced. This young bear was chosen to become a Guard member because of their promising actions as a cub and during their younger years of life. Oftentimes this bear will be offspring of theAres Enyalius and another member of the Guard, but it is not unheard of to have a cub inducted into the rank from somewhere else.
THE SOPHUS
The Erasmios: None.
These wolves are the priests of the pack, those who bless those deserving of such a thing, and curse those who have it coming to them. These wolves are held highly in the regards of Macedonians, due to the belief that a Erasmios is able to communicate with the Gods themselves. Thus, their wisdom and words are saught out often by the members of Macedonia, and their opinions are held very highly in the eyes of the Aeschylus, as well as every wolf in Macedonia.
The Eusebios: Romaine | Eternity | Dugen | Alexios
These are your executioners, a normally secretive rank, though the wolves within this rank choose whether or not keep it secret or not. The Eusebios train under the Thanatos, and often train closely with the ranks of Eudoxia and Eutropia. Oftentimes the Eusebios will be called upon to take out those who have been sentenced to death after comitting a crime, or to speed up the process of death, if said death is deemed too painful by either the dying creature, or the Ajax/Adonia/Thanatos.
The Eudoxia: Selia | Kasch | Denna | Chop | Kye
The Eudoxias are your assassins and spies within Macedonia. They play pivotal roles in certain situations. They are known only as assassins, however; their titles as spies remains a secret to everyone in the pack save for the Aeschylus, the Thanatos and the head of the rank, the Phalanx. These wolves usually train alongside the Eusebios.
The Eutropia: Lykos | Kye
This rank is the army of Macedonia, trained under the command of the Eustathios. They're the elite front line fighters, the very wolves that make up the main line of defense within Macedonia. These wolves are trained in every form of combat, and at times are trained alongside the Guard of the Adonia, the Eusebios and the Eudoxia.
The Aeon: None.
These are the Elders of the pack. Instead of being shuffled back down to subordinate when they grow older they are placed here to receive some benefits of a higher rank. These wolves or animals are valued for their wisdom and their experience and sometimes the younger animals seek them out for advice on a specific problem in their lives. These animals are not expected to anything else but pass on wisdom. They are provided due to the services they once provided Macedonia, or if an Elder comes into the pack, if they have a good store of wisdom they are placed in this rank.
The Zenobia: Melli
The healers of Macedonia, these wolves serve under the Althaea and train to be able to treat every sort of ailment known to Macedonia. They should be able to treat everything from a cut pawpad to a gaping fleshwound, an a cold to a fatal sickness. Most of Macedonia depends on these wolves during times of sickness, and during times of birth.
The Daidalus: Apollo | Icarus | Dragon | Fair Lady
These wolves are the border scouts of Macedonia, those charged with the duty of accepting or rejecting wolves seeking acceptance into Macedonia. Currently, only the biggest of wolves will be placed into this rank, due to the Adonia's idea of having the rank double as a guard as well scout, in case a rejected animal refuses to leave. This rank is controlled by the Aeschylus themselves, and only they may promote/demote wolves to/from this rank.
THE THERAPON
The Alec: Jyoti | Jaque
The pup sitters. Wolves that had a special knack for being able to calm pups, and keep them safe at the same time.
The Laos: Adon | Spill | Miko | Kato
The peasants of Macedonia. The wolves with no specialities, or simply no drive to succeed. Normally the bulk of the pack. New members obtain this rank when they join unless stated otherwise.
The Anatole:
Chiron x Amphitrite
Castor | Seraphim | | Aldara | Omaytia | Demos
Charybdis x Apollo
Eidos | Agatha | Udessa | Leona | Abraxas
Van Liefde x Spill
Sharipe | Spillara | Alente | Tikka | Varin
Bramble x Unknown
Poise | Eternity | Virtue
The pups of the pack.
The Deacon: Darkstorm | Thunderbolt | Amphirite
Slaves and servants of the Macedonians. These wolves probably did something to dishonor the Gods, or to highly displease the higher ranked wolves. They're not treated like dirt, but no one looks upon them happily, even if others help them and feed them. They're considered traitors until they prove themselves otherwise.
THE DEAD
The Honorable Dead:
Those of us who have died honorably, after serving Macedonia and the Gods. Their deaths are a great loss to us all.
- Orion - Deceased mate of the Algaia Artemis, father of Ajax Chiron and Adonia Charybdis, honored warrior. He fell in battle defending his honor and his pack.
- Bramble - Former Mistress of Lucern and a valued member of Macedonian society. Mother of Saharah, Miko, Eternity, Poise, and Virtue. She committed suicide by eating poisonous berries. Macedonia will miss her.
- Chiron - Former Ajax of Macedonia, a courageous leader, father of Castor, Vernon, Seraphim, Demos, Aldara, Omaytia, Kasch and Kato, felled by a bear on a hunting trip. Macedonia will mourn this loss evermore.
- Vernon - A youthful soul, Vernon was an Anatole who fell alongside his father at the paws of that murderous bear.
The Disgraceful Dead:
The hideous beasts who dare disrespect Macedonia in any way. May their souls burn forever in Hades pit.
- Hira - Disrespected Ajax Chiron and the Gods. He was taken down by the Phalanx Kye. May his soul suffer in the deepest pits of the underworld.
- Prometheus - Disrespected the Gods and Macedonia by abandoning his home. He is dead to Macedonia now.
