IN CHARACTER AND OUT OF CHARACTER RULES OF MACEDONIA.
It is expected that you follow our out-of-character rules just as well as you follow thes in character rules. I won't tolerate breaking laws. Read these rules very well, learn them, and respect them; a vital part of Macedonia is the order and peace that is kept within our ranks. As you could expect, we don't take quarrels amongst ourselves very lightly.
ONCE YOU JOIN MACEDONIA, YOU PLEDGE YOUR LOYALTY TO THE AESCHYLUS.
What does this mean for you? It's a promise to uphold the laws and customs of Macedonia. Meaning that if your character breaks a law or dishonors someone( Macedonian, God, etc. ) who is held in high regards with the Aeschylus, then your character is betraying the Aeschylus themselves and this is a crime. Punishments for such a crime can vary from demotion to death depending on the height of the crime.
YOU DO NOT LEAVE MACEDONIA WITHOUT PAYING TOLL.
Once you join Macedonia, you pledge your allegiance to the Aeschylus, as stated above. To leave is abandonment and betrayal. However, this isn't Alteron - we won't kill you for trying to leave right off the bat. You are able to leave, so long as you pay toll, like a toll booth, and as long as you have a liable reason. This reason and your payment will be judged by the Ajax and the Adonia. If the payment and reasoning are fair, then the character in question may pass; if it isn't, then the character is given a choice. Try and leave still, and face death under the name of high treason, or stay and figure out a different source of payment. Oftentimes, because Macedonia isn't a prison, your character will be allowed to leave. However, simply because you post wanting to leave does NOT assure your safe departure. You must POST a leaving thread stating somewhere in the title 'LEAVING THREAD'.
MIND YOUR RANK.
This is a given. Be respectful to those who are in higher rank than you are, don't abuse your rank, etc. If someone is seen disrespecting their higher ups, then they face the IC and OOC consequences. As well, if a ranked member is seen abusing their rank or just being inactive in general, they face the very same consequences. Punishments for these crimes vary from demotion, to IC humiliation, to death if the crime is severe enough.
SHARE YOUR PICKINGS.
If you somehow manage to bring down a deer, share it. While this is more of a snippet of advice than a law, it should be regarded very carefully. Macedonia is a small land with a lot of members. We need to help eachother out as much as possible.
DO NOT MATE WITHOUT PERMISSION.
Only the Aeschylus may mate without permission. Anyone wishing to mate will have to confront the ADONIA about the matter. Only the Adonia has the power to grant mating rights to a couple. It is recommended that a couple wishing to have pups seek out the Notitia or the Althaea, to bless them before their meeting with the Adonia; the words of the Notitia and the Althaea are held in high regards, and it does deepen your chances of getting the right to mate, should they bless you. Mating without permission will cause demotion to the rank of Deacon and the inability to interact with the puppies that result from the mating.
DO NOT MATE OUTSIDE OF THE PACK.
This rule speaks for itself. Don't mate outside of the pack, especially without permission. This will get you killed, and that's the end of it. A wolf will be allowed to plead their case, but it's likely that the character will end up dead unless they have a damn good reason for doing what they did. Rape is excused.
DO NOT FIGHT EACHOTHER.
Macedonia doesn't need inner turmoil. If wolves are found fighting without proper reasoning OR the blessing from the Adonia/Ajax, then they will both be confined to their dens for a week, guarded by a bear, and likely to be publically humiliated and even demoted should the fighting be bad enough. If you want to fight, gain the Adonia/Ajax's permission and blessing and fight publically. It's an interesting way to gain honor and the possibility of a new rank, all spawned from anger and the game of who's better.
DO NOT DISRESPECT THE GODS.
This is one of the ultimate crimes in Macedonia, considered to be one of the lowest and most treacherous things a wolf could do. To disrespect the Gods of Macedonia, aka the Geek gods, is basically a death sentence in itself. While Macedonia doesn't force its religion upon any wolf wishing to join, Macedonia will NOT tolerate disrespecting their Gods. Even if so much as a word is breathed against any of the Gods, no matter if it's a slip-up or what, you will be punished. These punishments vary with the severity of the offense. Macedonia law doesn't force you to follow our religion, but we will not tolerate you putting down what we believe. Give us the same respect we give you, or get out.
- This goes for ANY Gods worshiped within Macedonia. Not just the main Gods, but any pack members religion is held sacred. We are not prejudiced here.
DO NOT KILL WITHOUT PROPER REASONING AND PERMISSION.
While Macedonia IS a no-consent pack land, there are only a few members in Macedonia that have the right to kill another. Punishment for murder depends on the entire situation which lead to the death; depending on what the Aeschylus think of the situation, the punishment for killing without permission will most likely be either permanent maiming/scarring( removal of an eye/ear/tail/limb ) or death of the accused.
- Murder of a pup, no matter what led to it or why, will always result in the death of the murderer.
ACCESSORIES ARE ALLOWED ONLY UNDER CERTAIN MODERATION.
Macedonians look down upon human accessories. This is because in Macedonian Lore, humans are looked upon as demons, servants of Hades himself. If your character attempts to join Macedonia, they must tell the Aeschylus when, where and how they obtained the accessories, and the Aeschylus will decide whether or not the wolf gets to keep their accessories. We have no problem ripping out piercings or shredding arm warmers, so think before you bring your character into Macedonian borders.
DO NOT BEG FOR A RANK.
Begging for a rank will not only give you less of a chance at ever gaining the desired rank or any OTHER rank for that matter, but it reflects badly on you as a role player and badly on your character ICly. Begging is seen as pathetic and unruly, and wolves seen doing such a disgraceful thing will be dealt with in the manner chosen by the one who caught the culprit.
UNNATURAL COLORS ARE ONLY ALLOWED UNDER MODERATION.
Macedonia has a strict rule against wolves that are too unnaturally colored. Not only are they harsh and just unpleasant on the eyes, but their unnatural colors make them practically useless during hunts or sneak attacks, should there ever be sneak attacks. The Macedonian Lore plays into this rule as well - Macedonians believe that unnaturally colored wolves were cursed by Hades, and to let such a curse bring its perversion into the lands of Macedonia would be one of the worst things to happen.
NO FAN CHARACTERS ARE ALLOWED.
Sorry guys, but no fan characters are to be allowed into Macedonia. This is because most fan characters I see are lacking in character development and everything. This is to ensure that we have members in Macedonia who will stay, and characters that aren't just a 'fling' that will be thrown away the next time a bandwagon comes around.
