THE PROVINCES

Let's elaborate, shall we?

Each province has it's own Erus, the over seer of everything that goes on within their province. Keep in mind that these Erus do not have an alpha rank - they are still under the command of the Aeschylus. The Erus of each certain province does have quite a bit of power, however, seeing as they have the ability to dictate what goes on within their province, so long as the Aeschylus agrees. The Erus of each province has the power to promote/demote into or out of the Sophus ranks, accept/deny creatures into Macedonia, and create rules for their province. Each province of Macedonia is like a separate nation, all under the control of the Aeschylus. The Erus are expected to defend their land, as well.

When a wolf joins Macedonia, they are immediately placed into the the province of Erythrae. However, the character does not have to stay within this province. They are free to join other provinces, but keep in mind that a wolf may only belong to one province. Provinces are not permanent, and wolves are free to switch provinces with permission.

Note that it is important to know which province you're roleplaying in! In each thread you post, you must include in the title the name of the province you're roleplaying in, like "Let's go swimming! [ open, Erythrae ]" or something like that. This goes for acceptance threads to get into a province, as well.

On challenges for provinces.
Yes, you can challenge an Erus to become the new leader of their province. Being an Erus is a luxury, and a pleasure that not many wolves could obtain. Each Erus is expected to defend their title and honor, should it ever be challenged. There are a few rules that one must follow, however, when challenging an Erus.
[ x ] You must be able to handle a province.
Both OOCly and ICly, you and your character must be able to hold things together. If you're unorganized, inactive or your character doesn't seem like they can handle a province, then don't try to get one. I'll keep watch over these kinds of things.

[ xx ] Your character must be a year or older before even trying to gain a province.
This explains itself. I don't think a puppy can run a mini-nation. Don't try making your puppy unexplainably smart, either. Your kid could be Einstein and he wouldn't get a province until he turned one and proved it.

[ xxx ] Your character must be accepted into Macedonia, and have been a member for at least a month.
Wolves just coming into Macedonia cannot claim a province. This is to ensure that we don't have random people just coming into Macedonia so that they can abuse the power they hold over a province.

THE PROVINCIAL INFORMATION STATION.
[ x ] THE PROVINCE OF ERYTHRAE
Also known as The Heart of Macedonia/The Heart, this is where most of the peaceful wolves within Macedonia reside. Pups and elderly wolves can be found here, because this land is the driest and most bountiful in prey stock. A member of the Aeschylus is always to be the Erus of this province, as a tradition. Erythrae is the only province that cannot be challenged for by a normal member, however members of the Aeschylus can duke it out to obtain the province.

[ x ] THE PROVINCE OF SYRACUSE
Macedonia's very own Sparta, Syracuse stands as the home for the war machines and snipers. Based on respect and commitment, it is one of the harsher provinces and not for the weak. The military of the pack often reside here, using the isolated landscape for training or hunting.

HOW TO CLAIM A PROVINCE.

NOTE! - There are currently TWO PROVINCES up available for claiming!

To claim a province, your best bet at the moment would be to ask for it IN THIS MEETING THREAD [ click ]. That's not all you have to do, however. You need to PM this form to THIS account, with all of the proper information filled out.

What is an Erus?
An Erus is the head of a province, like a landlord or an overseer. The Erus rank is NOT an alpha rank; they still rank under the Aeschylus. Erus is a seperate rank from any other rank a character may have, as well. You character could be a Eusebios and an Erus at the same time; it doesn't matter. An Erus deals with the happenings in their specified province - ranks, rules, who joins and who doesn't, matters like that. Seeing as provinces are like packs within a pack, players of an Erus should treat their character as if they were an alpha of sorts, just remember to stick to the rules of Macedonia.

What ranks can a province have?
A province can really have most of the ranks a normal pack does. However, there will be no subordinate or omega rank. The Erus is allowed to have up to two beta ranks, but that's it. Remember though - each spy, each assassin, each executioner and all, they are still under the command of the Phalanx, Thanatos, etc.

How do I join a province?
No wolf is automatically accepted into a province. When your character gets accepted, they are part of Erythrae. From there they can make an acceptance thread for a specific province. All you need to do is post up a thread with [ acceptance, province name here ] in the title.
