This is the forest primeval. The murmuring pines and the hemlocks, bearded with moss, and in garments green, indistinct in the twilight.
The name of this maiden is Evangeline.
Her name means 'like an angel', from the Greek language.
She's about one and a half years old.
Her breed is that of pure dire.
She's proudly female.
While she may seem harmless, Evangeline holds her loyalty to the vicious wolves of Alteron.
Unnoticed as of yet, she ranks as peasant.
Stand like Druids of eld, with voices sad and prophetic, stand like harpers hoar, with beards that rest on their bosoms.
The girl weighs about one hundred pounds.
To match this weight, she stands at a height of three feet, four inches.
Her body type is thin, lithe and very fit, with long legs and small paws.
Evangeline's fur type is soft and silky; rather short.
Loud from its rocky caverns, the deep-voiced neighboring ocean.
Her parents were Maybelle (mother) and Stephen (father).
Her siblings were Drake (m) and Arthur (m).
Her other family is unknown as of yet.
Evangeline's mate is nonexistent.
She is currently courting no one.
While being courted by no one as well.
Her offspring are nonexistent.
Speaks, and in accents disconsolate answers the wail of the forest.
Evangeline's personality is a tad bit troubled. Forget most of what you know about wolves that act like Evangeline. She isn’t evil, nor is she sadistic or masochistic. She merely knows how harsh life can be and acts accordingly. Weakness is not acceptable in her book, but she isn’t completely void of mercy. Within reason, she doesn’t mind teaching or giving second chances, but she stops at second chances, no third here. If someone has to be given a third chance, it isn’t worth it. She honestly believes that a better society can be born out of strength, and weakness, though so plentiful, has no place in this society. She believes that nearly everyone has the potential for strength, though not everyone for greatness.
However, those few that have attained greatness; whom he considers worthy, she is deeply respectful. Loyal to the end, she would never dream of disrespecting anyone of high rank. Surely they must be worthy to have gained such a high rank. Evangeline knows her boundaries, and doesn’t push them, even though she is opinionated and not afraid to speak those opinions. She can be blunt in her speech, but as stated before also knows when to hold her tongue. She isn’t filled with anger or rage at what has happened to her, but she dislikes humans greatly. She is hard to get close to, and when wronged, is hard to gain trust back. She will hold grudges and can be stubborn. This girl observes a lot and won’t hold back about what she sees unless she’s faced with someone of higher rank.
She is fascinated with water and the sound of water; she loves thunderstorms and loves to sit out in rain showers.
This is the forest primeval; but where are the hearts that beneath it leaped like the roe, when he hears in the woodland the voice of the huntsman?
Her history is quite eventful. Evangeline was born to a large pack called Argas Hills. She was the middle child of a small litter. Her parents loved their puppies deeply. Even as a puppy, Evangeline was more serious and more mature. She played, but she seemed to think a lot, and she was very passionate with her affection for her siblings and parents; she loved them with all of her little heart. When she was barely three months of age, humans raided the pack. They came when the pack was out hunting and killed the pup sitter. They proceeded to kidnap the pups and took them away to their human village. They initially separated the pups and tried to break their spirits, making them do menial dog tasks. They succeeded in breaking the pups’ spirits, except for Dev’s. She saw what the men were trying to do, but knew the value of survival and pretended. She acted meek and submissive and did everything the humans demanded of her, and did it well. In this time, she didn’t see her siblings, but she didn’t know that they had been broken, turned into subservient work dogs.
When she was a year old, the humans put her in a ring with a young male she identified immediately as her sibling. Devonny was shocked at how un-spirited her sibling was and how eager to please his human masers he had become. To this end, she was appalled when he rushed at her, jaws snapping and saliva flying. She dodged his attack and realized with growing horror that the humans meant the wolves to attack each other. It didn’t matter that the men had forgotten that the two were related now. She didn’t want to hurt her own brother, but he was blinded by his loyalty to the men and wouldn’t see reason. He attacked her over and over again and finally got her leg in his teeth. Pain welled up inside her, and at that moment, she saw there was no other choice. The wild wolf turned on and killed the tame wolf.
Completely horrified at what these humans made her do, she turned and ran, viciously attacking any human or dog who stood in her way. She wasn’t interested in killing. She just wanted out. She ran until her legs wouldn’t hold her anymore, at which time she collapsed in a bloody sobbing heap. The girl lay there for days, finally sobbing herself out after a few hours. As she lay there, she developed a sort of numbness, a shell so to speak, a shell to prevent others from getting close to her. She wouldn’t have that happen again, positively refused to, as if her own sheer will was enough to prevent it. Finally, hunger and exhaustion drove her from her frazzled heap and she finally started living again. At this point she was completely focused on one thing. Helping a society come to be where loved ones would never again have to turn on each other…and if a few others have to die to attain that utopian society, then so be it.
Where is the thatch-roofed village, the home of Acadian farmers— Men whose lives glided on like rivers that water the woodlands, darkened by shadows of earth, but reflecting an image of heaven?
Evangeline has a few images of herself locked away.

Extra details in this little profile go to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, for his poem 'Evangeline', which is used throughout the profile.
Waste are those pleasant farms, and the farmers forever departed! Scattered like dust and leaves, when the mighty blasts of October seize them, and whirl them aloft, and sprinkle them far o'er the ocean.
Evangeline's opinions on others are varied greatly.

JUST A NOTE THAT yes, there is another Evangeline, one who hasn't been online since April. An email has been sent to this member, but until they show their dislike in my usage of the name, I will continue using it.
Naught but tradition remains of the beautiful village of Grand-Pre. Ye who believe in affection that hopes, and endures, and is patient, ye who believe in the beauty and strength of woman's devotion, list to the mournful tradition still sung by the pines of the forest; list to a Tale of Love in Acadie, home of the happy.
