[[ Rita of El Dorado is challenge Almas Rotas for the easternmost portion of their territory (the 15miles of the shared island) ]]
The bitch couldn't help but bear that wicked, pompous grin on her scarred maw. Her stride was confident and swift, nothing could dare to hold her back as the blackblood mutt trotted with pride around the tar pits of her territory. Soon enough her claws scratched against soil that wasn't hers, though it should be. It seemed odd how Marre's Keep had allowed their land to be divided so awkwardly in the middle of such a large island. And how convenient was it that the very bastard she'd challenged before made himself at home, here? Here, in this land that Rita would've had for herself already, if it hadn't been for that unfortunate set of circumstances. But fuck that, the bitch was back and she was going to take all that was rightfully hers. One. Step. At a time. And this portion of the territory was first, this chunk of land that was already geographically connected to her island. Logic did not allow the she-wolf to permit her enemy's occupancy of these few miles of land. With her body swaying as it entered the territory, though barely past the borders, the Captain halted curtly. Her tail swished, twitching as it raised itself up in her rightful authority. Auds stood erect as her eyes scanned the terrain, awaiting the inevitable fool to run up and scream at her. A scoff, audible only for herself and her followers to hear, slid elusively from her cheshire grin. Come to me, you pathetic bastards. Show me how unworthy leeches like you shall perish under my grasp.
Another second passed, and the bitch lifted her left forepaw. Holding it in front of her, as if aiming to take another step, she signaled for her companions to pan out to her sides. Back me up, my minions. Show me how loyal you truly are to my pack, and I may reward you so. A huff of self-absorbed confidence chuckled from her throat, her eyebrows raising in sarcastic disbelief. She'd managed to stand on their terrain for almost ten whole seconds, and as far as she could tell, the Captain had not been contended. Oh, but she needed a bit of nostalgia here. And so Rita lifted her maw high to the skies, allowing the same howl that she'd once exerted here bellow through the air. If Taramo, that useless brute, were here, he'd hear it and know just damn well who was here. As she lowered her maw, her fierce eyes blazing as they eagerly awaited her opponents. Her heart raced, the tensions rising. She stood, muscles eager to move, just as a pup would when awaiting the chance to go on its second hunt.
She'd received a teasing taste of what's to be. And now she wants it all, again.
"TARAMO!" Her patience seemed to be waning, and her voice boomed, "Your favorite wench has returned! Welcome me as an old friend would!" Her summons were thrown into the air without any sort of grace or proper etiquette. This beast had already seen the monster behind the facades, and so Rita wouldn't waste her time with the games. In fact, she found it all the more entertaining this way.
This way, there would be no more bullshit.

Things were looking good. Shark had been recently promoted, just for taking real good care of the borders, it was easy for him since he spent most of his time around them places. He had accepted two so far, a horse and it's human. Hoping they would prove some use to him, and to Rita. He he, of course the hope for them to aspire was for his, greedy personal gain. Shark was aiming for the top, or as close to the top as he could without having too much responsibility, because who really wanted that. Responsibility was for the lame, Shark was one of his own kind. He had been hanging around the border a lot more as of late, fulfilling his, temporary duty. He paced back and forth in a particular spot, thinking on what exactly he could do to up himself on this crooked ladder. And at that particular time, opportunity struck. Shark's orange eyes lifted to see Rita, crossing the borders over to somewhere. Not even thinking twice, Shark followed silently behind Rita. Only when she would turn to see who followed, he would nod his head to her. They didn't travel for too long before Rita finally did stop, Shark had been in too much thought, planning, and what not to see if anyone else had followed. Of course he didn't really care, he was in this for himself mostly. Showing his trust and loyalty to Rita, and showing his promise climb the social ladder perhaps? He grinned silently, stopping behind Rita. "TARAMO! Your favorite wench has returned! Welcome me as an old friend would!" Shark looked at where they were now, were they--no they couldn't be? They were challenging for land. Sharks grin grew wider, Rita's hunger for power was admirable. When Rita's tail flicked, giving the signal to fan, Shark did just that. He moved to her right side, tossing her a look, "Am I gonna have a part in this..seemingly one sided fight? Or do you get to have all the fun?"

The Watchman followed her leader obediently. She could behave when she pleased to do so, but was not above kissing up to get something she wanted. After living with a human, who was easily buttered up with kisses and whose loyalty was gained why symbiotistism, Creek Dancer figured the same would work with Captain Rita as well. It should--a favor usually resulted in a favor, after all. The dun mare kept her neck low and the muscles in it pulsed snakily as she looked from direction to direction, sniffing up the border of Almas Rotas. She smelled the place and, aside from the oily residue of wolf territorial markings, it was the same, delicious scent of thriving flora that perfumed El Dorado. To was so nice, she even ignored Shark. It wouldn't do to have inter-pack fighting in front of the enemy, now would it? Always play the perfect family when guests are in the house, dear. Once Rita let loose the prideful little huff, Creek Dancer knew she would like the female. She sounded like all buisness and a little dolp of sassy. They moved to back Rita up, to look impressive to whoever would greet them, Creek begrudgingly took the left position. Whoever was last could deal with getting where ever they could figure out to stand. She merely arched her neck, not trying to put on too much show. Her sculptured physique was intimidating without trying; unlike wolves, who had to puff their fur to make themselves look bigger, horses couldn't do that. They either had muscle and power or they didn't. Creek was among the first catergory. Once the howl was let to fly into the air, the dun mare had to hold back her excitement. She had always been rather blood thirsty for a herbavoir and eagerly eyed Rita, though she kept her stance of the bouncer-thing. Surely Taramo wouldn't be alone. Surely Rita wouldn't not let them have fun too. She wasn't that greedy, was she? After all, if Rita and this Taramo wolf and Rita were such good friends then surely Taramo would bring a few friends so this could be a big triple play date.

Barely into the pack, and she was accompanying her Captain to a challenge. Well, it wasn't as though she had been chosen for the task. Fairah had been putting the finishing touches to her den when keen eyes had spotted the other female leaving the territory. She had never seen the alpha, but the way in which Rita carried herself quickly let anyone around know her position. There were two others already in tow behind the blue-hued female - the horse which had accepted Fairah and a male wolf. Little did she know this was Shark, the wolf which the horse had advised her to snap at if she saw him. But thoughts of snapping at her own pack-mates were, right now, far from her mind. Because she could tell something interesting was brewing. There was something very assertive in Rita's movements. Sensing excitement on the air and desperately curious to know more, she had approached the trio slowly and, when given no orders to remain behind, she had dropped silently into step behind the troop and followed them towards another territory. A challenge? She suspected so. With a sign from Rita, she moved away from the alpha, further down the side of the territory border on Rita's left, but remaining close enough to defend the Captain at a second's notice. Here, Fairah stopped, one eye watching the Captain and the other scanning the territory beyond for members of the other pack. She knew that Almas Rotas lay just over these scent marks - scent marks which Rita boldly crossed before lifting her head to the sky and howling. The grey female glanced once towards her leader, then resumed a vigilant watch on the land beyond the familiar home of El Dorado. But after a while, no one had appeared to meet the challengers. And Rita appeared to be displeased by that fact. "TARAMO! Your favorite wench has returned! Welcome me as an old friend would!"A small smirk flashed across Fairah's face in amusement. She had, during her time in neutral lands, heard of the previous battles between Rita and this Taramo. Clearly, the "proper" code of conduct was not necessary now - Taramo would know who was here. "Am I gonna have a part in this..seemingly one sided fight? Or do you get to have all the fun?"At this remark, one ear tilted curiously back towards the Captain. Would the three who had followed Rita (in Fairah's mind, the most loyal of the El Doradians) get to help this fight? It would allow Fairah to prove her worth in the art of battle and stealth, which was really where she was best suited. A rank might even be gained if Rita allowed a scrap to commence. If not, Fairah would be content to watch her leader handle this situation quietly, and simply be prepared to launch forwards should Almas Rotas try to trick them into a false sense of security. She was an ex-Queen. She knew how things like this worked.
link=topic=58262.msg416607#msg416607 date=1325484334] ((Wait for my other members to post. there should be two more)) "TARAMO!"
'What the hell was that!?' thought Taramo. The voice boomed through the air. Startled birds, and woke Taramo form his sleep. It came from the boarders. Someone was calling his name it was someone he had not head before. Or at least lately. He knew that Marres Keep had lost some of their land and that one of the wolves he had defeated. Rita, the supposed captain of El Dorado. He didn't know who it was, who ever it was, they were disturbing their peace. Taramo rose from is slumber, and Sprinted towards the noise. It wasn't that far away. It was near the Tar pits he knew that. Taramo wadded through the water in between the islands that separated their territory. He splashed onto the muddy beach of the final Island that he shared with his ..."Friend"
"Your favorite wench has returned! Welcome me as an old friend would!"
They had met in battle once, and he won. If she was here to try again, he would attempt to reason with her. He finally arrived to where Rita was. He increased his speed, since he wasn't trying to stay quiet, he leaped out from some bushes that were about ten feet front of her and her band of intruders. There were four of them. One was a horse. Taramo had never seen one before. In all his travels since he was a lonely pup, he had never seen one. They were bigger than he had imagined. But the thing he was worried about the most was Rita. She had come back, but for what exactly? "Suddenly you are my favorite?" Taramo said with a smile. He scanned the group. He was outnumbered, they had crossed the boarders. Taramo gave a howl letting anyone who was close by to converge on him. And to let the He hoped that two in particular heard him. His cousin Nezillah, and his father Blitzblade. His father had become a big part of his life recently, and he had somewhat saved his life. Nez he hadn't been around a lot, she was busy trying to gain her rank. Who knows If she shows she just might get her wish.
"Long time no see Rita. What is your business here?"

link=topic=58262.msg416639#msg416639 date=1325487510] She was indeed close when she heard her Cousin's call. She had simply been wandering the boarders of their land, helping to secure them, even if that wasn't her job - she may as well do something. Better than sitting on her backside all day... not that she enjoyed laying in the mud and muck. Casually, she adjusted her course toward the sound of Taramo's call, across the water toward the tar pits. She had this place mapped out quite well. She may have only been here a short time with her new-found extended family, but she was a quick study. She wished to know her new home, and to know it well.
As she plodded along; she reckoned she was close behind Taramo. She tried to be quiet, not an easy task when one found their paws making squishy noises whenever they touched the ground. At times, it grossed her out, but she was getting used to it - slowly. She heard her Cousin's voice, "Long time no see Rita. What is your business here?" She kept her steps light, trying her very best to reduce the squishy sound.
Rita... Nezillah wondered to herself. Who was this 'Rita?' Was she an old friend or enemy of Taramo's? She couldn't be sure of anything at this point. She'd have to examine the situation first hand. She made little to no attempt to hide herself from the visitors: to creep up on them might make them nervous and lash out, and a fight was the last thing she desired. She hoped that was Taramo's desire as well. To avoid unneeded bloodshed.
She calmly came beside Taramo, nodding silently to Taramo when he noticed her, "Cousin." she stated calmly in greeting. For now, she'd wait, to see if more arrived to back their leader, before doing or saying anything. She might not need to say or do anything at all. She'd wait to see how this all turned out first.
