She was so annoyed by all the water in the Marshlands. But what would you expect? It was called the Marshlands for a reason. Compass looked around. Anxiously, awaiting someone to find her. Com stood directly behind the borderline. She then sat down so she wouldn't look like a threat. Com's lime green eyes glowed brightly with determination. Her quest was almost complete. She just had to get accepted into this pack and put all those horrifying memories behind in her upsetting past. Compass decided to wait a little longer before finding something to eat. She wanted to keep her stomach in line for the "interview" with a pack member. Com wanted to impress the leader and higher ups. This would be such an important part of her new journey. She wondered how Ruby was. Big brother Rubs might have gone off somewhere else. Hopefully. His mental obsession for Compass was a little unnerving to be around.
Compass waited, feeling a little more dreary and felt like she was going to throw up. She then stood up and inhaled a deep breath, trying to think of something else rather than her stomach. Then Compass let it all out with a sigh following after. This was going to be a very long day. Compass then pricked her ears as she surveyed the area another time. It just occurred to her that she was close to water. But this wasn't a river. This was a long, treacherous drop into the water. once she was enlisted into the ranks, her first priority would be to learn how to swim. Because, obviously, Com couldn't.

There had been no doubt in the blue and grey toned wolf's mind that he would be let into a pack of thieves. Hell, he was the most conniving, and cunning sons a bitches he knew, well, that was until he had met Rita. He couldn't help but notice the way she acted during his acceptance, she was a cocky one. A small grin spread across his face, he really knew what she was thinking, he knew exactly why she had let them both in.
She wanted him.
Yep, there was no denying it. He saw the look in her eyes, of course it could've just as well been the 'make-yourselves-useful-or-else' look, but.. Shark knew better, he knew it was the ladder. Grinning still, he strode around the new place, marking things mentally in his head, the best hiding spots for his stuff and general familiarization. He also just wanted to get away from that weasel acquaintance of his too, he wouldn't soon forget how she almost embarrassed him. Almost. After all he'd taken her under his wing, kept her safe the entire journey here, and how does he get repaid? Shark shook his head, his grin faded. Some partnership.
He walked a few more feet, until his stunning orange eyes caught someone standing on that border, now his border. He half thought about turning around and leaving it for someone else. But. There was also the possibility of this person having something to give for an easier acceptance. Jogging to this stranger, he sniffed, a female, Shark thought he'd put on his dangerous side, intimidating this mutt into giving him whatever treasures she brought with her. If she brought any with her, which she should have done if she were smart. And if he was lucky pull off the tall, dark stranger vibe (eyebrow wiggle). "What're you doing here?"
By 'here', he meant at the borders. And why so alone?

Compass watched ahead of her, keeping a sharp eye out for anything...or anyone. She raised her muzzle, taking in all the scents before her, until she caught one. A male, strong and full of bulk was jogging towards her. Now to put on her game face. Keeping a cool gaze, she watched him come over to her. "What're you doing here?" Well hi to you to. but she would put that aside and answer promptly. Without answering too soon or standing there in utter silence. "I'm here for acceptance into your pack." Compass stated confidently, showing no signs of fear or fright. She emphasized on the your part, figuring it would make him a little of a happier sort. She new from learning, she would not state her name or anything about her, just answer his question as confidently as possible.
Com soon found herself drawn to his bright orange eyes. Interesting. her lime green ones watched him carefully, making sure to note any new facial expressions or movement. But it was easy to read him. He wanted her to be useful, well that was what she was good at. At least, that's what she believed she was good at. Then she noted his colors. He was sharp, with so much blue. The pale white on him complimented the different shades of blue quite well. She would remember him for future references. He was obviously taller than her and had way more muscle. Kind of reminded Compass of Ruby. He just had different shades of bloody red. She dared not smile at the male, but looked at him with complete confidence.
Now she just had to wait for his response.

"I'm here for acceptance into your pack."
Is that right? Shark could help but roll his eyes at her, "Acceptance?" He asked, in a sarcastic tone, "Here?" The grey hued wolf began to circle the girl, mush like the predator that he was, more so to make her feel uncomfortable. He noted the emphasis she put on the word 'your', but payed it no mind, that played no part in his strategy. As he circled the girl, he focused mainly on finding any trinkets or prizes she may be hiding from him, but so far, not so good. Nothing. He saw nothing she possibly could have offered.
"So besides sitting and making the obvious, obvious, what else are you good at?" He had finished his search, and now stood in front of her, narrowed eyes boring into hers, waiting for the slightest twitch of a lie. "Or are you just another, not so pretty face that wants to take what isn't theirs?" Perhaps Shark was being harsh, perhaps he would scare this girl away, either way he wanted to make sure she would be a help, not a hinderance in his climb up the ladder. It would seem those that do the accepting are reflected in who they let in, or that's what he had learned over the years of his failed attempt at trying to make it into places himself.
His tail twitched in impatience and irritation, she had better impress him, or else Rita wouldn't be impressed. And that would be a bad, bad thing.

"Acceptance? Here?" She nodded, ignoring his sarcasm. Compass figured he was just trying to pressure her, intimidate her. But it wouldn't work. "So besides sitting and making the obvious, obvious, what else are you good at? Or are you just another, not so pretty face that wants to take what isn't theirs?" "I can hunt very well. And I'm no stranger to combat." She thought about he usefulness. "So I could be a good hunter for your pack. Feed many. I can also be a good fighter for your pack. A warrior or guard, perhaps? Whatever you see me to."
"You are probably going to ask me to prove it, am I right?" She asked gently, figuring this would happen. She had no idea who this male was. She didn't even know his name, which was odd. Most common wolves state their name and/or rank when it comes to acceptance. Just so the hopeful one would know who to address anything to. But she didn't want to be rude and get chased out, so Com zipped her lips and kept quiet, keeping her head a little downward, to show that he had the authority. Just so she didn't seem to overconfident.

Shark rolled his orange eyes, "What use would you be otherwise? You probably wouldn't be here if you couldn't do those things." Thumping his tail behind him, becoming aggravated. This girl was just listing off things most wolves had the instinct to do, obviously they could hunt, and obviously they could fight. If they didn't, they wouldn't be able to survive in the wilderness now would they?
"So I could be a good hunter for your pack. Feed many. I can also be a good fighter for your pack. A warrior or guard, perhaps? Whatever you see me to."
Sighing, Shark stood, circling the girl. Looking at her physical condition. She was on the bigger side, he wasn't sure if it was fat or muscle, frankly he didn't care. However, the weight could be useful for fighting smaller, less bulky wolves if they were ever raided. After making a complete circle, he returned back to his spot in front of her. "You're fat." He said blatantly, not to hurt feelings.. okay maybe it was to see how she'd react.
"You are probably going to ask me to prove it, am I right?"
Eye brow lifted, "Eager to be shot down are we?" Shark wasn't in the mood to fight, so perhaps he would watch her hunt something. The grounds out here were hard to maneuver around, and the marsh hares were equally hard to catch. Clearing his throat, "Alright, since you're so eager to make a fool of yourself, catch me a marsh hare. Adult. Not adolescent or little runt." And to make it interesting, "In five minutes or less." This was a test, he really wanted to see how she reacted under pressure and if she failed how she would handle it.
"Well, what are you waiting for?"
