Enter the marshes, an impossibly loud water ravaged swamp filled with muck, frogs, and flies. The occasional rainstorms would raise the water and rip away trees. Dangerous ground to walk upon indeed for the faint of heart.
However Bresha was not faint of heart.
Neither was she tolerant of such things, she saw past the muck and mud as her pride saw fit. After all she had a debt to collect and wasn't going back empty pawed. The large black tiger waded in the shallow murky water for a moment. Blue gaze casting off to the shores, nostrils flaring for a second before she rose a muck covered paw in the direction of the bank.
The large female paused, hold her head high to catch the scent off the winds, tail curling once she verified that this was indeed the place. A smile would turn the lips of that scarred face of hers. "Ritaaaa oh Ritaaa. You owe me." The large cat cooed in a rough hoarse voice. Remember, that fight. Remember what you promised? Cause I surely do.
It's time to pay up.

She'd been waiting.
And waiting.
Patience was rarely a trait found in this mutt.
Her stride was a bit awkward as the Captain basically threw her paws forwards in order to keep her walk going. She really couldn't care much about watching over the borders for herself - she had her subjects to do that for her. Grumbling underneath her breath, the blackblood mutt continued her uncouth gait through the marshy terrain, her paws sloshing through the wet ground. The soil was unstable, sliding down towards the shoreline of where the water greeted the land so lovingly. Love really was a love-hate relationship, wasn't it? The she-wolf looked at how the shores only stood to create some sort of stability in the relationship. Look how he offered a purpose for the pulsating waters... And what does she do in return? She tears him down, rips him away one layer at a time. Sooner or later, he will disappear, a victim in the waves' devious plot for survival. Was this the eventual destination for all relationships? And, if so, why would these fools be so fucking eager to get into them?
That's what made Rita so indefinitely superior to them all.
She found a way around the system.
A quick couple bounds and the Captain had broken her tumbling fumble of a stride, her paws picking themselves up to take more hefty steps. With her tail helping itself to a few good swishes from side to side, the she-wolf almost grew bored. Where was everyone? Only the ambience that overcame the entirety of the marshes was audible, and that wasn't enough to satisfy the dear ol' Captain.
"Ritaaaa oh Ritaaa. You owe me."
Ooooh that sweet lullaby was enough to perk up the mutt's auds, her eyes glistening with a bit of life. "Hmmmmmm?" No one was around her, but she'd answer the call anyways with her slurred hum, her body swivelling gracefully to turn towards the direction of the feline's coo. Her paws carried her with determination, though a casual hint was tossed in as her stride was feminine and properly executed. She made no haste nor did she cause a hustle or bustle. Her path was easy to follow, her destination clear. And as she neared her dear friend - the black figure of the tiger now in sights - the Captain didn't even have to fake the grin that stretched out on her scarred maw. Hello, kitty kitty.
"Hello, Bresha. Certainly has been quite a while..." Perhaps far too long. "Where have you been?"
Another way of saying, why weren't you there?
You abandoned me, you left me.
And yet, for some reason, I welcome your return...

"Hello, Bresha. Certainly has been quite a while..."
A smoldering glance at the female wolf as she appeared right before the tiger's very blue eye. A pained smile spread across her scarred face, mixing the dark pink flesh with the lighter tones almost as if the skin would begin to bleed again. "Aye..." Her hoarse voice replied in an acidic tone.
"Where have you been?"
"Bear'ur hunting." Her thick accent coating her words as the tiger sat back. Black tail curling around her bulky, muscled frame. Flicking with presumed annoyance, but then Bresha would find herself nonchalantly scratching her chin. A rough shuddering, freeing up the mud and fleas trapped within. "I came back though." Which was short for, I couldn't find that bear that done ripped off my face. So instead I came here.
"You made you're pack." Turning her head back to the female, giving Rita her full attention. "I want to be apart of this." The lone blue eye wandered taking in the mucky scenery and draping vegetation. Ans then she'd wait for whatever the clever wolf had to say.

"Aye..."
That raspy voice was enough to send shivers down any fool's spine, but the blackblood bitch had hardened herself many times over for it to become a sweet lullaby. The words of her long-lost companion were to be welcomed under any circumstances, so the sound in which her words took form were of little importance. So, instead of retreating like a pathetic coward, the Captain only advanced a few more steps, mirroring the twisted smile her feline buddy spread so wide across her face. A flicker of the auds and small step forwards, Rita began the initiation process. There would be no need for any sort of interrogation - these two knew each other rather well...
"Bear'ur hunting." Opening her maw, the wolf let out a sort of "ah" sound, as if not only recognizing the validity of the excuse, but also supporting it. "Successful...?" Were you able to bring that fucker to justice, to bring his carcass to prepare as a feast, together? The thought of indulging herself in such hardy, fresh meat made the mutt's mouth water, her tongue slipping through her lips to wrap around her maw. Mmm... tantalizing thoughts. As the female kept her stare upon the feline, there was the slightest hint that something, something, was different. Perhaps the way her scars curled up around her face? The manner in which she walked? Spoke? Hell, maybe the way she was breathing? But as these few ideas were shot down, the Captain decided it was best to put it to rest. Who the fuck cared if the cat had changed a little bit - her presence within the whole of El Dorado was an advantage that her dear friend wasn't going to pass up. And she wouldn't let it happen.
"I came back though." A disappointed sigh was held back as Rita cast a nonchalant glance behind the feline, spotting no carcass. Bummer. Lowering one of her auds in contemplation, the mutt stepped forwards, her cheshire grin returning in full glory as she flipped her tail up. Ah, well, now that fucker doesn't matter much, does he? "As you should have..." Code word for "we're more important, anywho~". "You made you're pack." The smugness that had been relatively absent for the duration of this reunion managed to slither its way back onto her scarred maw, lips pulling back, just a bit, in order to reveal her toothy grin. "I said I would..." And I never lie, do I? For a moment, Rita pondered whether or not she should feel insulted - ah fuck it. Bresha's here now, and that's all. "I want to be apart of this."
Silence.
For a moment.
Maybe two.
"You always were..."
Her tone was rather suspicious, as if insinuating a dark, prosperous potential for the duo.
As it had always been~
