Crystal blue eyes stared at the marshy land through a fringe of red and blonde. The soggy ground was causing mud to seep into the delicate paws as they pushed forward. With a small sigh the wolf tossed his head back to push the hair from his eyes so he could see the surrounding area better than before. Ariano paused in his walking atop a small patch of mossy ground that rose a few inches above the rest of the landscape. He had been wandering for some time now, and even though it was nice to have time to himself and everything he would have to admit that he missed the feeling he got when he was around others. He missed being able to talk to someone other than himself or the trees and grass that twisted it's way through the marshes. He may have been lonely but he had never had the urge to join a pack, or a group for that matter. He saw no point in it but now that he had been alone for a good two years of his life he was starting to wonder if his choice of being alone had been a smart one. But...what if he did find a group in his travels? What would he do then? As he mussed over the thought a soft wind danced it's way through the marshlands pulling at the cattails and tall soggy grasses. With a content hum escaping him he closed his eyes and lifted his eyes as he took in the feel of the air pushing and pulling at his fur.
Grey-white lids flew open as a strong smell attacked his scenes. There were wolves near by. From the smell of the wind they lived in the marshes and weren't just passing by. Pulled by some unknown force he stood from his spot and took off through the muddy water and thick grass in search of the smell. The farther he traveled the stronger the smell became. It was a pack! His eyes lit up with curiosity as he lifted his muzzle to the sky and took in a deep breath; they were a few feet away. Pausing in his walking he flicked his hair out of his eyes with a toss of his head before lifting his head to the sky and letting loose a long howl calling forth whoever would have him.

If there was such a thing as a land shark, hot damn, this wolf would be sporting a dorsal fin on his back. He had taken on a human and it's stupid horse, and not to mention, he had gained a couple of great things to take with him. He had just finished lining his den with the pelt the human, Little Deerscream, had awkwardly offered to him. He wasn't entirely sure what kind of pelt it was, the scent had been gona away from it for quite some time. It kinda just smelled dead now.
Shark backed up out of his den, admiring his work. Grinning, proud of his work he decided to put the reed braid Deerscream made him inside also. "Perfect." He stood back and admired his work once more, he was certainly quite the decorator. Perhaps once he stole some more stuff, it could help line his den also. He let out a giant sigh as a howl swept past his ears on the wind. Shark flicked an ear back towards the sound. So many recruits, he grinned as he pivoted on his way to take yet another acceptance. And perhaps, some more treasures for his little cove.
As Shark ran towards where the sound had emitted from, he ran over in his mind how this acceptance was going to work. He could go for the rough, tough guy, or-- nah. It seemed he was better with the rough guy take on things. Smirking silently, Shark made his way up towards the new, whoever it was. Judging by the smell it was a male. Putting on his tough face now, Shark emerged from the shadows, orange eyes narrowed. "You. What do you want?"
Let the games begin.

The slim male turned his head towards the noise and he took a few steps back so he could take a seat and watch. So someone had come to hear his call. He thought as he stares at the larger male who from his stance and the look on his face was not happy to be here. He gave a soft cough to clear his throat before he spoke. "I am Ariano. I have come upon your borders and am seeking acceptance into your pack." He paused before he continued speaking once more, he had no idea why but he was nervous.
He paused once more in his speaking to listen to anything the other wolf had to say. This was probably going to be his only chance at finding a home so he was going to do his best at pleasing the other male and doing any tests that were placed before him. "I am more than willing to do any tasks or tests you would have for me. Or any questions that need to be answered." He flicked his hair out of his eyes making sure to keep his full attention trained on the other wolf.
This was it. He thought as he sat in silence among the thick marshes. This was going to be the moment of truth. It all hung on what he said and how he and his words were reacted to. He held his breath as he waited for words, words that the very fiber of his being was waiting on.

Really.. That's the best you could come up with? Sighing, Shark thought this may or may not go easily for this new guy. It would depend on how he acted, and exactly if he brought anything with him to offer up for getting in. He'd still wear the rough tough outlaw take on this guy, but he'd also play the, give me your stuff or else, guy too.
"Acceptance huh? Why here?" Think of something original pal, don't give me the usual, 'Oh it's awesome and family' stuff. Something interesting would be nice. "Give me a good reason."
"I am more than willing to do any tasks or tests you would have for me. Or any questions that need to be answered."
Shark grunted, "Well I would hope so, you weren't hoping on a free pass now were ya? And I was expecting you to do as your told." Thats the way it works anyway kid, you should know that. "What can you do? Besides say obvious things, anything of use?" Show me, tell me, lie! Anything. With a quick look around, Shark figured there weren't any others around, he leaned in to Ariano, "You got anything of worth on ya?"
