The desert didn't have the lush landscape of the marshlands. Blight welcomed the change with a devious grin. He had been in the marshlands for a few days scouring the place for a sufficient home. Needless to say he had been unsuccessful thus far. The male didn't want a home that had their residence in the marshlands for more than a few months. It made it harder for him to... involve himself in the affairs of others. Advance himself and break any ties that may be in his path. Of course when he reached newly scented borders he knew the opportunity was before him. He'd be dammed if he wasted it.
The timber wolf crawled out of the muck and sat on the soft moist soil. The grime slipped between his toes irritating him. Nearly everything was irritating nowadays. Too many lowlifes like him trying to make a living in the world. The male looked around expecting to be greeted immediately but he recalled he judgement. A newly formed pack wouldn't greet him so quickly. He would need to make his presence known, let them marvel at him. Throwing his head back the sandy male let loose a deep howl. When finished he lowered his head, tipped ears pivoting, listening for someone.
The sunlight warmed his back and helped dry some of his fur in the process of waiting. He was growing impatient, but masked his irritation with a cold confident demeanor. Hurry the hell up.
A Blight upon your lands.
[Short but acceptances. ick.]

The female had been waltzing around the borders, laying down the scent markers to cover the rancid stenches of their previous owers. While she may have made an alliance with this Keep, she did not have to like them one bit. In fact, as far as the Captain was concerned, her loyalty would not be owed after she aided in the destruction of Almas Rotas. How could she have denied such a possibility? That pack, with their petty leader - Taramo - were dead to the blackblood mutt. Gaining land and securing his fall? Talk about two birds with a single damn stone. More like a boulder, if you thought about it.
But she wouldn't waste the time to do so.
Instead she picked up her pace, her fluffy tail waving behind her torso in a mixture of energy and exasperation. All the tendings that were due - setting up the terrain to her likings, letting in the worthy, damning the rest... all this was so unwanted to the female. All she hoped for was to have everyone in, BAM, just like that. Not everyone, exactly, but those who were destined to pull her pack up from the muck and into glory. Then again, how was she going to be able to distinguish those from the failures? Twitching her auds, Rita pursed her lips. Feminine intuition, perhaps? Her guts had rarely misled her, so why would she stop following them now? Puffing up her chest in her inextinguishable pride, the wolf lifted her head up as her paws led her further along the borders. So far everything seemed pretty empty - the last of the Marrains had moved their asses on out. About time.
A deep howl bellowed through her lands. Her first thought was one of contempt. How dare some lowly bastard taint her territory with such a foul-sounding siren? With her face contorting in a moment's disgust, lips moving uncomfortably over her slippery fangs, the mutt grunted under her breaths. Tensing and relaxing her muscles - as if preparing for a fight - the Captain changed course to head for the source of the sound. Her body trotted heavily upon the moist terrain, pawpads embedding themselves and marking her trail unknowingly and quite easily. Lungs heaved her impatient breaths, her eyes glarind ahead of her as her head adornments bounced lightly off the side of her face. Where was this fool...?
And as she turned around the bend, she could see the pale brown form of another just around a boulder. That scowl disappeared, and was quickly replaced by a smooth smile. Her gaze turned soft, her auds lowering themselves a bit. It was almost as if she had finally found that long lost lover, her pace quickening in excitement. The fluff of her tail wagged joyfully, though a bit slow, as she neared him. But she didn't stop, her body walking carefully around to his side. Notcing quickly the stains on his pelt, she nudged herself gently against his torso, her neck extending and lowering her head towards his forelegs. A warm, soft tongue escaped her jaws and caressed the fur, cleaning it easily. See how happy I am to see you? I may not know who the fuck you are, and quite frankly I don't give a damn, but there's power in numbers.
"I need you..." Her words were cooed whistfully as she raised her head, taking her time as she turned around to face him on the side. He could take the statement however the hell he wanted, but the Captain only meant for it to be a flat-out truth. She needed followers, and if this bastard was going to deny her, she'd snap at him with no hesitation. But for now her smoothe, feminine facade would remain intact. "Can you help me?" And how can you help me?
Show me...
Prove it to me...

Blight only waited impatiently for a couple of minutes but it seemed like an eternity. He spotted the bandana wolf the moment she turned the bend, a scowl on her muzzle turned to a smile. It left him slightly confused but he didn't let it show. He certainly didn't know her. She ran to him like a child, excited and happy. Blight's face remained impassive, hardened eyes watched her run to him. Her gait slowed and she began to brush against him invading his personal space. Who the eff was she? He didn't move, let his body stiffen. He assumed she had to be important to even think she could have the authority to touch him like this. If his assumption was correct well she could do whatever the hell she wanted as long as he got what he wanted. Power.
As she licked at the mud his body relaxed, head dipped towards her. He wouldn't show affection back, his mind gauging the situation, trying to find the best reaction to make. He could fall for whatever she wanted him to do. Keep himself alert to her actions and perhaps get himself a powerful ally in the pack. "Can you help me?" Her last sentence hung in the air, thickly. Blight's split face looked at her for a moment, his lips pulling up into a devious smile. Oh the help he could give. A flash of white teeth shown from his beneath his lip. A dagger ready to stab into flesh and draw blood. "I can help you achieve your wildest dreams." Words. Pretty, petty words. Blight knew the talk all too well, but he also knew how to walk the walk. If she read the underlying meaning, she'd know he was asking, what she wanted him to do.
"Tell me darling, need enemies eliminated? families pillaged? Some protection?" He cooed. Blight let his tail brush against the blue hued female. His red and yellow eyes would seem almost crazed. He meant every damn word. He would kill and ruin anyone asked of him. He'd deceive anyone even this little darling, if someone with more power offered him too. A double edged sword begging to be used. I'll be a legend in your lifetime.

Her body seemed to mesh with his, their furs interlocking as she pressed herself up against him, her body sliding off and to the side. Her eyes held that childish passion, that little flare that would keep the other one hooked if all went as she hoped. Keeping her breaths low and steady, almost flowy, the mutt took delicate steps around the stand parallel to the brute. She stood still, her tail swaying gently from side to side, landing upon the left side of his back each time it moved to the right. The touch. The connection. She'd hold onto him, make sure he wouldn't go anywhere. Males were foolish, a simple physical connection could seal their fate.
Would it seal his?
She looked up, her tongue slowly settling itself back in her jaws, resting between either row of teeth. Her lips pulled back in a slight smile, a sweet and innocent one... perhaps. With her auds flickering, clinking her golden earrings, the Captain let her gaze fall onto the male's. "I can help you achieve your wildest dreams."
A shudder would travel down her spine, whether real or fake, and she'd nudge herself closer to him. "I've got some pretty wild dreams..." Total domination. Destroying Almas Rotas. Possibly barbecuing a few Scallywags along the way... A few good public maimings... All in good fun, of course. She'd nuzzle the backside of her head underneath his chin, up against his throat, if he weren't to object. There she'd slide through, leaning the whole right side of her body against his chest as she moved past him, ending up in front of the recruit. Her tail would flicker itself in his direction before she turned gracefully in a circle to sit herself down, tail wrapped regally around her forepaws. Poised, the Captain would keep her eyes glued, as if staring. Waiting. Would he falter, break, or would this bastard prove his magnificence to the she-wolf's cause?
"Tell me darling, need enemies eliminated? families pillaged? Some protection?"
A soft chuckle and a tilt of the auds would be Rita's immediate response. Only moments later would that damsel grin appear, her lips moving slowly before allowing a few words to seep through, "All in due time..." As of right now, El Dorado was flourishing. There were no dirty deeds to be tended to just yet, but the blackblood mutt knew that would be sure to change all too quickly. An empire with as much potential as her own would be sure to pick up a few mortal enemies along the way, Almas Rotas set aside. But he could offer assistance, could he? "Your name, where you're from, and your life's purpose?" She'd break his story down, here and now.
She'd seal his fate...
