Trotting through the marshes towards the borders of the little pack of pirates and no-gooders, Emila was pretty content with herself. Swallowing the last of a rat she had stolen off an unfortunate coyote in the desert, the green-marked woman looked towards the borders, the scent of the alpha seemed vaguely familiar, the desperate attempts to cover the scent of whatever had ruled this territory before was as plain as the feathers on her back. Green eyes scanned the misty surroundings carefully as the hybrid stepped towards the borders, common sense and instinct telling her not to cross. Unless she wanted her pretty, tattooed face torn off.
Sighing heavily, Emila knew how this acceptance would go. Roll over, Emila. Sit down, Emila. Do a backflip, Emila. OK, maybe not the last one but it was a common tread with these acceptances. She would always have to impress the one inspecting her and never mind the one inspecting her having to impress her. This is our pack, our home and never mind what services you offer us, blah, blah. She couldn't blame them entirely, they could not just let any retard strut in. Even if it was clear she was no idiot.
Fuck, she was hungry again. Stealing within this place would not be a good idea even though, once she had gained a higher rank, she could keep the subordinates on their toes by stealing their food once in a while. More of a 'you snooze, you lose' lesson. This was a pack born of cut-throat politics, no rainbows of eternal friendship to be found in that. Emila had never had to kill to steal and preferred not to create a reason for vengeful packmates or family members to chase her up down mountains, forests and deserts over a rat.
Movement. She was close now. Emila would smile - not a 'glad to see you' smile either - and would raise an eyebrow. "I hear you're recruiting? Well, Emila's here to fill some gaps," she would say with a slight cockiness. Politeness was a bit groundless, the scent marks told her this was a new gathering so heads within the ranks would be few.

Kyron looked around his new home. It was a good piece of land that had a lot of potential, the only thing else it needed were some people to occupy it and help nurture it into a strong and powerful pack. He lifted his nose to the air and caught the scent of a new wolf near the borders of the territory. How curious. So many new creatures seemed to want to join his sister’s pack. For some odd reason, this pleased Kyron to no extent. If the pack got enough people to join, they would become a true force to be reckoned with. If that was what his sister desired, then that was what would happen. He swiveled his head in the direction of the scent and took of at a sprint, wanting to see who was nearing the borders.
Kyron slowed once he got close to the borders and saw the creature near the border. This one was wise enough to not cross the border, for if she did it would be up to Rita to decide her fate. A fate which might not end well. Kyron stood tall and approached the female with curious yet calculating eyes. The female had put on a smile and spoke in a tone that held a slight cockiness.
"I hear you're recruiting? Well, Emila's here to fill some gaps,"
Kyron stared at this female, Emila, and narrowed his eyes slightly. He knew that El Dorado was just starting up as a pack, but that did not mean that they did not have power. ”Emila, what can you offer to the pack of El Dorado? Are you skilled in the arts of healing? Or perhaps you are a fighter down to your very core? Whatever it may be, let’s hear it.” Kyron saw the fire that was in this female’s eyes and knew that she would be a good asset to El Dorado. He just hoped that she said all the right things. After all, he would not be the one to allow a future traitor into El Dorado’s rankings.
He had promised to help bring power and success to El Dorado. He would start by assisting in gaining members to strengthen the pack as a whole. Kyron looked at Emila and waited for her response. The outcome would determine her fate from here on out.

A male approached her. A big one. Whatcha think, dude? I'm gonna cower belly-up because you're a bit on the fat side? Ha, of course. I'll play ball. Emila backed away slightly, the grin still plastered on her face like melted wax. The feathers swaying delicately in the breeze. She did not want to lose these. Black-patched eyes eyed the male expectedly. He seemed unimpressed by her call. Oh, dear. Someone was being a bit picky. Can't afford that, chief. Eat your vegetables and reap the healthy benefits it holds, there's a good chap. However, she remained quiet as he spoke. A bit on the pompous side.

"I fight for what is mine or, rather, what shall be ours," she said. "If I see something I want, I take it. No questions asked." She did not know if thievery would be tolerated in this pack but, hell, she was being honest. Stealing could always stir up a bit of needed drama in her life. If there was no way to keep the subordinates on their toes like that, she did not know what was. Emila was not joining this pack for sanctuary or a new beginning, she was joining to be as impressed and as satisfied as the border guard in front of her. If the urge to be impressed and satisfied was not enough to get an instant ticket into El Dorado, she did not know what was.
She would eye the male with the same smile, although her answer could be taken either way. It could be taken as an empty promise and she could be chased from the land. Psh, see if she'd care. There were many other places that would interest her, she was sure. There was more than enough spots for thieves in certain packs. Not to mention a pretty one who knew what buttons to press.

Kyron watched as the female backed away and looked at her curiously. He could tell just from the looks of her that she was not some air-headed female like most of them were. This female knew how to get what she wanted, when she wanted - no questions asked. She would make a perfect addition to El Dorado if she only played her cards right. There was still a slight chance that she could be a complete disaster to have in El Dorado, but only just a slight chance.
"I fight for what is mine or, rather, what shall be ours," "If I see something I want, I take it. No questions asked."
Kyron gave a small smirk once he heard this, liking how she answered. ”I see. I must say that I was expecting an answer like this from you. I was not disappointed either. From what you have said I guess it is safe to say that you have skill in the art of thievery.” Kyron’s original instinct was correct, this wolf would fit in perfectly with this pack. He was sure that Rita would agree with him wholeheartedly.
He smiled softly and took a step back and to the side. ”You will be a good fit to El Dorado, welcome to the pack Emila.” Kyron would watch her cross the border and then look at her for a second before walking off alongside the border, looking for another person wanting to join - if there were any.
