[beginning of a journey; got the okay already. obviously, any characters involved in this would be gone for a bit. I'd appreciate if Akeail could go first. I'll give this two weeks or four joining before we set off]
Little Deerscream
The human female had a pack slung over her shoulder, filled with a flints, tinder, dried meat, and several yards of sinew rope. Beside her, a haphazardly created wheel barrow of sorts had a small array of pelts, all caught by Deerscream herself and numbering only four. One was a deer pelt, two were beaver skins, and one was a peculiarly colored snake skin.
She mentally went over the list. To the savannah, to the Man Village, and to the cold beach. They could pick up gold and silver, flints and tools, and maybe even a few pearls. Who knew? While Little Deerscream certainly wasn't considering it at the moment, there was a possibility they could pick up new members or even slaves. Fun fun fun.
Dressed in new attire--a black fur with an intricate pattern of white and blue--she was ready for winter weather. She could always take something off it got too hot, but she doubted it. All she was waiting on was Swellowsong and a few other wolves. She wished Creek Dancer had wanted to go, but after acting as a go between for Rita, the horse had refused.
Get a few wolves to come, make sure Swellowsong's comfortable, and then we're off!
Yes, yes, yes! This was a very good way to prove her and Sonja's worth! If she could return with good things, the wolves would know that she was for them and not against them, and a good thing to have, at that. If nothing else, this was so much more exciting than the life she used to live. Who knew she would be living among the "forest spirits" she had worshipped less than a year ago?

Sonja
Sonja had nothing special, just her four paws and long body. She was quite pleased that Rita actually said that they could go, of course there were others going too. She didn't know which wolves were going, but she knew that this would probably be more of a 'bonding' time for those that went, but, there was the little fact that this trip could make enemies as well. Unfortunately the polecat knew she wasn't exactly liked by her partner 'Shark' but what could you do?
'SwellowSong' started into the area where DeerScream stood, she made a soft whistle sound at how pretty she looked. She moved her small paws quickly till she stood at DeerScreams feet and put a paw on her knee and churped. She figured if she let DeerScream carry her, then everyone would tell Rita she didn't even carry her weight. So if DeerScream went to pick her up, she would dart away and shake her head. She knew DeerScream wanted to help her, and taking her on this trip was definitely helping. But babying her in front of whatever pack members came along, then there would defiantly be a problem, so she would have to keep up the hard way. She moved around the woman and her 'wheel-barrow' or whatever it was, and would keep moving this way until someone else came into the clearing.
-short sorry Dx-

Finally.
It seemed like Shark had been waiting for the longest time for this trip to come around. Ever since he had heard of the voyages to the Man Villages, he knew he would be going on them. Ok, he really had no idea if he was going, but he'd make it a point to try his best to go. This would be the time that he could prove he would fit in the rank of scoundrel, and let Rita know he was a sly mother fucker. This was gonna be good.
Blue toned wolf trotted quietly across the swamp, a grin spread across his face, planning in his head. Making sure all of his planes were calculated before he made it to the site. However, as soon as two familiar faces were visible. his grin fell, and a disappointed growl escaped his muzzle.
Sonja.
Human.
Are you serious?
These were his companions on the trip? Slightly disheartened by the fact that he was the only capable one of doing anything here so far, he thought that perhaps Fairah would meet up with them too. This thought brought a slight smile back to this face, though not a complete toothy grin. Shark approached the horse and pole cat, slowly, eyeing them both. "So. You two are tagging along as well eh?" He took up a spot on the humans right side, and sat. "Lovely."

A journey? Perfect.
Fairah had no intention of being a scoundrel, or whatever the rank name was. The rank seemed to be, essentially, a pick-pocket, and that wasn't her thing. However, as a Gunner, she was required to protect the pack. Normally, that meant protect Captain Rita and the boundaries of El Dorado. With this trip there was a need for fighters and defenders. People, humans, and weasels could hardly defend themselves, now could they? And who knew what dangers lurked in the lands beyond their safe, cosy little territory? That was where Fairah came in.
She was a Gunner, trusted to be skilled at snapping her teeth and causing damage. Well, from her size, it would hardly be doubted that she was perfectly capable of that. Have you seen me? But she also thought herself suitable for this little mission because she had some knowledge of the outside world. She hadn't always been a pack animal - for the first two years of her life, she had been in neutral grounds, wandering as she pleased and seeing, smelling and hearing much. Fairah knew the locations of other territories, recognised the scents of different packs. Yes, she definitely deemed herself a good choice for this task. A smile flickered across her maw as she considering how viable she was. And who knew? It would also, perhaps, allow her to prove herself somewhat. Rita had granted her a rank grudgingly and that meant Fairah needed to show her worth. It probably meant a lot to those she would be protecting too. So this mission needed to be a success.
For all their sakes.
It was with a brisk trot and her head held high that she was headed for the group, her tail waving casually behind her. The group came into view through the trees and her eyebrows raised as she observed the little group. The human and the weasel were there. And another - Shark. Oh good, a nice little holiday with Shark. Fairah was suspicious of the boy since the pack meeting, but flirting was harmless and, considering their other company there'd probably be a lot of it going on. Judging by his words, Shark wasn't too impressed with the lack of canines either.
Slowing to a walk, she wandered up to the group, nodding at the weasel and the human and flashing Shark a cheeky smile.
I'll be your protection.
