The blue girl was up early this morning, as usual. With Hysteria as the new co-Saborako, Sappara was eager to please and eager to work. But the borders of Saboro were large, and there were only a few sentries to patrol its borders. And that just was not good at all. More sentries meant safer borders, and safer borders was good for every pack, including Saboro.
She left her den by the poppy field, a favoured spot of hers, and trotted off into the rainforest. She wondered where a good place for this recruitment would be, as these recruits would probably be sparring. And she'd rather not have the beautiful poppies torn up from the ground. Finding a clearing, one that was suitable for the sentry wannabes to train, and stopped.
She howled, summoning anyone who was interested in becoming a sentry. Silently, she wondered if Hysteria would be here to, both of the Saborako's judging the slabs would be fitting.
Not wanting to get lost in thought, she focused on the clearing, waiting for the slabs to appear.

The opportunity was too good to pass up. An easy 'a' as it were, finding a recruitment to better fit itself into. Solitaire was pleased, and as it happened the first call it heard belonged to a familiar wolf - not much by meeting but more by reputation and sight - and a Saborako to boot.
Excitedly it grew closer to the blue she-wolf, tender steps making it harder to hear before it broke from the blending jungle. Stopping a good distance short of the high ranked female Solitaire would not smile, not even a flicker of a grin in greeting, before it sat and watched her for a few seconds. Head turned from side to side, surveying the area with a cool gaze - nobody else?
Hmm - first to arrive. Did this mean something to the pretty girl? Probably not, being so high such things were probably lost on her by now, Saboro must have shaped her well. Head and neck dipped in a long bow to the girl, Sappara? Was that her name? It had been much longer since it broke free of the normal faces it preferred speaking to .. which was to say nobody.
"Saborako. I am Solitaire, here to serve."
Had they met ... perhaps once? Perhaps not. It was hard to tell even with a unique face like her's.

Oh how he despised being a grunt... Some lowly creature only above Omega and Slave. It was an insult to him and to his father... And it created an awful taste in his mouth. But he woke up, hopeful that one of the Elites would call for a recruitment. And deep down, he had hoped it would be one of the Saborakos. Rine had often heard his father talk about his experience as a Sentry. How Flynn had risen above all odds and look how far he got! He was proud of his father, and held much respect for the scarred ginger. Now if only he could make his father proud of him...
Rine's ears were ever alert for a call, the distinctive howl of an Elite calling for recruits. And today, his ear flicked in the direction of a sing-song howl... Instinctively, he changed his direction and bolted toward the location of the gathering. It was for the Sentries! His heart fluttered with excitement, what better way to make his father proud of him than to follow in his footsteps? Rushing he'd appear from the shadows and halted before Sappara and some... wolfish beast that smelled very odd... Kind of like the scent on Flynn one day, but the scents were different. He'd bow to his adopted sister. They had never really met, but he knew of her and how his father had taken upon himself to adopt the blue female out of respect for his fallen partner. Which only made him adore and respect his father more.
"Sappara. Hello. My father's told me about you, you're Greyblues' daughter right? I'm Rine, Flynn's son, I've come to prove my worth." Was that too long winded? His mind started to race with worry... What if she was annoyed because of him? What if she just found him silly and stupid? What if, what if... While all this was occurring inside of his head, on the outside he seemed to be remaining quite calm and collected. After all, he had one of the best trainers for a stoic appearance.

He had lost the title of Jackdaw. Hesitation and doubt had clouded his mind the moment those he were to fight charged at him. Stupid doubt. Python regretted his failure, wallowed about in dismay, but no longer. He needed to continue on-- find a new strength. Prove himself once more. For Echidna, Viper, Poet, Damascus... Verrine... For Moon too.
But most of all for himself, he needed something to do, keep his mind occupied. Having no longer constantly patrolling Ring borders had taken its toll on the roan timber. It gave him time to think about things Python did not wish to ponder on.
As the recruitment howl reached perked ears, Python unhesitatingly bounded forward to the source. "Hail Saborako." He greeted quietly, deep, thunder-like voice rumbling in his chest. "My name is Python." Dipping his head as a final piece to the greeting, roan eyes then traveled to glance at the two other wolves. A young one and... A face Python wasn't too... excited to see. He remembered the hermaphrodite quite clearly, his little scuffle with her in the past, working together as jackdaws. She had most likely heard of the embarrassment he had made of himself in the tournament, so the scarred timber couldn't help but wonder what it thought of him now.
Then the other one... He looked quite a lot like Flynn, right down to the utterly calm expression upon his face. Perhaps one of Flynn's children? Flynn was another wolf Python wasn't the biggest fan of, the former Saborako who had given him the scars along his muzzle, though Python had to admit it was his ignorant self's fault... Nonetheless he disliked the ginger male, but to the child Python held no grudges.
Auburn gaze once more rested on the young Saborako, a face he did not recognize, waiting silently and still as a statue.

Her training had been paying off, and while her weight gain had been minimal, the little wolf-dog put on enough to look less skeletal as she had in the time immediately after the ash had driven prey from the lands. Her form was now lean and finely muscled, a specimen to behold for a mixed breed. Almost elegant, perhaps...
Amazon warrior.
When the call rang through the forest, a summons for sentry-wannabe's, the black and teal female raised her reddened muzzle from the monkey that had been just slow enough to be her meal, already mostly devoured in her haste to eat before it was taken from her as was the norm when one was on the lower ends of the food chain. Ears flew up and eyes turned with a sharp interest in the sound. Once before she had attended such a call, and that had been inconclusive. She supposed she hadn't failed the first trial, since she was still here and had been called on to put two of the other potential recruits in their places...
With a hasty swipe of her paws, catlike on her muzzle, and a swing of tongue, Valkyrie cleaned the blood from her maw enough that her black fur looked untarnished unless someone were to examine her under a very close proximity, and stood, leaving the monkey's remains for the scavengers. With a flick of her tail, the female made hastily for the caller, and after a moment of running, came upon a female in the clearing of river blue. Though no name was given, she heard the term used for the female by those around her.
"Good morning, Saborako. I'm Valkyrie, grunt," she said calmly, though there was that ever present tone of respect that one had when they were of her rank as she approached, a deep nod of her head in a pseudo-bow, another show of respect before nodding at the other three in attendance. None were the same as those who were at the last recruitment, she noted. Though the red-hued one did seem oddly familiar...
After greeting all of them, she stood and waited with respect, silently. If she knew anything about Saboro by now, Valkyrie knew that each wolf inside the borders was no example of the rest. Better to err on the side of caution.

A howl had risen overhead as Beowulf lay napping somewhere in Ring two, shaking the male from his sleep and driving him onto all fours. Head tilted upwards in confusion before the message became clear. A sentry recruit? Recruit? And it was decided. Paws slapped against the dirt as Beo headed in the direction of the summons, not wanting to miss out on such an opportunity. Honestly, how the recruitment would go was unfamiliar to him, but it felt easier than watching to borders himself without any training or finding the head of the sentries (he supposed this was an actual rank by now) and convincing them he was good enough.
He arrived around the same time as a dark-furred female, breathing in her scent and memorising it as he approached. The others he too took in, especially that of the blue she-wolf who appeared to be running the entire thing. A smile, though mostly to be polite, and he cocked an ear at the other female's greeting.
"Good morning, Saborako. I'm Valkyrie, grunt," Valkyrie, then, and the blue female was Saborako? It seemed an unlikely name, but he went with that. Besides, he had heard echoes of the self-same title as he had approached, so it seemed a better bet than others.
"Well met, Sab..orako?" Hesitation was never a good sign, but Beo could only shrug mentally at this. "My name is Beowulf, a slab." A pause before Beowulf dipped his head in welcome to the others, not wanting to be impolite. Then his eyes were back on the leader, Saborako, and he waited patiently for the rest of the recruitment to proceed. Despite his earlier worries, Beo was still excited to hopefully be put in a rank.

[[ so sorry for the wait~ ]]
She would uphold her value, her worthiness, to have been placed in this rank.
And after briefly conversing with her fellow Saborako, they had agreed.
Their numbers were too small.
The answer was quite simple, to be honest, but the process by which it would all undergo would be the opposite. The mutt could remember back then, not too long after she'd first joined the pack in the first place, where she had been put to the test. After wandering into the recruitment - and a bit late, at that - she had thrown herself under the bus that was the Moon and Sun. Greyblues and Flynn. How much of a coincidence that she now found herself reigning over this little rank with the Moon's child, the star. Though back then, she'd been deemed unworthy of such a rank - to be a Sentry. While this fact would've naturally flustered Hyss, she smothered said fact with the one that easily trampled it - the Sabora had personally selected and deemed her worthy. If it hadn't been for the respect that had built up under the Moon's reign, the new Saborako would've held a smug grin over her grave. But she would not let the past cling to her so much... at least as much as she could control... So what petty title would the white and black Elite go by, now, as the calm portion of the good cop-bad cop had already been claimed? To be sentimental, Hysteria would be obligated to choose a name referring to the Sun...
Then again, sentamentalism was a joke.
The Whirlwind suited her much more nicely than anything else she could come up with.
A gruff 'hmph' and the dire mutt let her paws carry her further and further away from her den. Her eyes were narrowed, as if suspecting the worst to happen as each and every tree passed her to the side. What could linger there, with dangerous intentions and lethal desires? A low gurgling in her throat slithered up, escaping her maw as her teeth parted in order to allow her slick tongue to roll over her maw. Smacking her jaws shut just as quickly, the Elite shifted her gaze to focus ahead of her, her tail flicking up in intant dominance - a clear warning to any potential trouble-makers. She now had even more power to back herself up with, now. No longer would her brute strength or aggression be enough to scare off petty fools, she now would use her shiny new rank to send them running. And she'd chase them.
They'll never forget her.
The howl reached Hyss's rotating auds just as she was about to break into the second ring, the not-so-distant stench of a gathering closing in on her. Her pace hastened a bit, her head lowering a bit as her stance grew just a bit less threatening. Perhaps she shouldn't scare the shit out of these recruits, right? A moment passed as the she-wolf let this thought mellow out a bit. Then again, Sappara will probably fulfill her mother's steps, where she acts as the brains. Why the hell shouldn't Hyss fill in the blank slot and be the brawns? A sneer spread wide as the mutt broke through the last, scarce bits of vegetation to introduce herself to the group that had gathered. "I'm Rine, Flynn's son, I've come to prove my worth." Her focus turned towards this Rine wolf, a weak grin attempting to present itself, though its attempts were futile. Hysteria found it hard to offer a true, genuine smile to those that were not of her own blood. "I trust ya won't disappoint..." Left open for interpretation, these words might encourage or threaten. Either way, she would hope they'd bring out the best results.
"My name is Python." I swear I've seen you before... and for some reason these vague memories are not pleasant. She'd shrug them off, momentarily, and turn to the others.
"Good morning, Saborako. I'm Valkyrie, grunt," If she were more 'normal', Hyss's eyes might've widened at the mention of the rank. This should be interesting.
"My name is Beowulf, a slab." A nod, as if merely taking this extra recruit into account.
Her eyes would then turn, on their way to focusing on Sappara, when the settled upon another wolf. A male? Female? Must;ve missed it's introduction... An curt snort later and Hysteria wouldn't bother to ask - names and useless details wouldn't help these recruits become the next Sentries of Saboro. It'd be their cunning minds, their quick tactics, and their superb judgement that'd get them far. Taking a few steps to weave through the small gather of wolves, the Whirlwind made her way to the one she'd deemed as Star. The Moon's child. She'd stand near her, though not next to - as to integrate herself with the group, to be closer and instill preassure and anxiety. "You will be tested today, as you've answered the call." Her voice was rather stern and blunt, her brows furrowing a bit to add to the severity of the situation. "This rank isn't to be taken lightly, and so we won't bother wasting precious space with useless pieces of shit." Passionate, burning eyes would then turn to stare at her associate, auds flickering as if giving her to 'a-okay' to start the recruitment.
Despite being new to the Elites, Hysteria had more experience in the Sentry rank, and so it was only right that she'd been assigned to help finish Sappara's training.
And here they were. This recruitment would not be limited to trying to recruits' capabilities.

(( Fortune said it was fine if Estein is thrown in here. hur))
She came a little bit late but nonetheless she came. It wasnt something as weird as her brother being here to probably suck up to their dad - Estein wasnt here to neither suck up to Bylaem or Flynn. She was here because she was tired of being a powerless slab. She wanted a rank where she could smack around someone and not get chewed out for it. She didnt want to be some weird estranged puppy thing anymore. Wanted to earn her stripes.
This wasnt her choice pick, it wasnt what she wanted to do in life. But Switchblades were overrun with people she didnt.. like or want to be around. And Jackdaw hadnt been calling -- this was the next step down from both of those. Better than being useless, and because if she was useless she would be completely disposable.
"Sappara! Long time no see girly." A pause, looking around smiling at the people she knew. Hysteria she'd met, that was the Saborako who stood up for Ragnarok. Lifted a paw to wave at the girl, another look around -- catching her brother then slinking towards him to brush fur against his, publicly announcing their familiarity. "Bubba,"
and then about facing to attention.
"This rank isn't to be taken lightly, and so we won't bother wasting precious space with useless pieces of shit."
"Aint gonna disappoint you."
wasnt in her blood too.
