it takes a lot to be always on form it takes a lot. i'm maybe not all the time, all i've got maybe not. been one of those days, safety first, don't push, what's the hurry? one nerve remaining, waiting on one look, have you got it? have you got it in you? have you got it in you? all at once, not a whisper, nor word. then all at once let me have it all, let me have a battle on, easy target, look can we just, just get it over with. it's getting worse, against all the odds it's getting worse. (guard down, floor's yours, last man standing can we, just get it over with.) been one of those days safety first, don't push, don't push me, what's the hurry? cause there's one nerve remaining, waiting on one look, one look now, have you got it? have you got it in you? have you got it in you? |

SCARS - She has scars across her back in intricate markings, made by humans with a hot iron as a symbol of pride; she does not feel ashamed of them, rather, she enjoys what they mean. Only those who worked hard and made themselves into something received the scars.
Eve is missing her right eye and has multiple scars on the right side of her face, and her right foreleg and shoulder; the dewclaw on her left leg has also been ripped off, leaving a trail upwards of tattered scar-flesh, as well as missing her right ear; all of these scars were given as a result of her fight with Loath of Asylum.
ACCESSORIES -
sweeter than heaven, and hotter than hell.
PERSONALITY - Eve's time spent imprisoned in Asylum has left her considerably less friendly towards others. She's distrustful, stand-offish, and blunt, wasting no time with formalities that she sees now as trivial and stupid. However guarded she may be, Eve's eye and the general expressions she makes often betray a great deal of what the golden ex-beta is feeling. Inside there is often a lot of turmoil, the memories of Asylum and what happened there all but a physical inhibition to the mutt. The radiant, smiling young girl who enjoyed hopping games and dancing is long gone, replaced by a bruised and battered rose almost barren of petals but overrun with thorns. She's changed, different. Although most of her faith in others has dwindled down to nothing more than a few dying embers, there is the chance for that hope to be rekindled and nurtured back into health; given the right opportunities and someone willing to help her, to work with her, Eve does have the ability to recover. After all, she didn't come this far on only anger. There is hope there, down within her, but shrouded in the darkness of neglect and painful anger.
Where once she might have dreamed that she could touch the stars if she wished to, Eve's spectrum of possibilities and expectations had shrunk substantially. No longer does the golden mutt dream wildly of things unachievable; she's a little more down to earth, and grim in her expectations however small they may be. Eve had turned into a bit of a pessimist and will likely see the bad side of things before the good. Given her experience in Asylum, such a thing isn't unexpected; having been in her situation could have caused wolves to go mad. Eve might have, had she not been fueled by such a powerful anger that still resonates in her, shrinking now but nonetheless there.
Eve is a cosmic sort, her mind calm and sensible it seems that she enjoys spending the majority of time pondering life's incomprehensible truths. She is a dreamer though not your typical way, she not only dreams of greatness but works to achieve it. Eve is a very skilled and accomplished fighter, the morals of fighting first with the mind and out maneuvering your opponent into a corner had served her well. She can be found at the training flats outside the oasis during the day giving lessons and training up and coming young members who have yet to get their markings. Even those who become warriors will often come back to challenge their old teacher but most fail, Eve is in the prime of her life and will put down even many large males. She moves with an assassins grace and hits with deadly strikes, making sure to never waste an opportunity.
She hails from a small family unit that dwells within the blackblood lands as members, as not all members are native her entire group joined into the pack after their home was uprooted. The different between her battle persona and her family one is like night and day, she is a happy and loving pack mate who enjoys light play and hunts with friends. She's known among family and friends for dreaming quite big, her imagination a vividly beautiful one that makes her fascinated in stories of crusades and great fighters. Many who meet her in the battlefield and then is more intimate group gatherings will claim that she can't be the same serious wolf that just mopped the floor with them as she delights in fairytale stories and amusing children with hopping games. written by sunrush/cassie.
HISTORY - Eve was born in a small human village that had no exact name; it consisted of a few human families, a few dogs, some mixed breeds and one true wolf. Her parents were Moonbeam, a collie/blackblood mix, and the only full wolf of the village, Drumbeat. His parents were lovers in their prime; Moonbeam had a beautiful litter, but Eve never grew to know her siblings, as they were all traded away to other villages. Nevertheless, Eve enjoyed life and grew into a strong young dog, often working with the humans by assisting in hunts and defending the small settlement. She trained with various dogs of the village and became an accomplished fighter, watching the humans fight and incorporating some of their moves into her own fighting style. Eventually she was taken in by a master, a male fighter who was particularly spiritual and a ponderer of life's various mysteries. She received her ritual scars when she came of age, and she did so proudly - though the ironing hurt like hell, it was a mark of proud service and honor. All was not well within the world, however. About three nights later the village was attacked by two large bears in the dead of night. Two families were mauled before the dogs and hunters could assemble to chase them off. Sadly, Eve's mother was killed in the ensuing fight along with other dogs and two humans. In the aftermath a few of the dogs were left without masters, including her father, her cousin, her aunt and a close friend of the family.
Her owner had been wounded in the brawl and after giving her a collar and saying his goodbyes to his close companion, he set her off to follow her family in leaving. Some of the dogs had opted to travel to Drumbeat's place of origin, the Blackblood Outlands. She arrived at the Outlands at age one and a half, and spent a year climbing swiftly through the fighting ranks. Eventually she was appointed a primary teacher in the roll of teaching the packs youth; she spent another year living in happily in the Oasis and teaching her classes, watching her students go on to become warriors. She made great friends with Icebite and Draven, and taught a few classes to a group of wolves out in the training flats. These were taken into account and, after a small ceremony, Eve was appointed to Beta of the pack, along with Lutec. Not long after she and Luke, a nomad, mated and produced four children; she couldn't love her children more, although she fears she may have let them down as a mother. After this, she met with Arit and a traveling group of wolves from a pack known as Saboro, who were searching for one of the royal children. She and Lutec permitted them to stay in the Badlands with guards, but after that she did not fiddle with them. Two wolves from Inaria, Jaromir and Remus, came along and spoke of an unfit alpha to Inaria and asked for a safe sanctuary until things settled out at Inaria - as well, she and Lutec permitted them to stay.
Eventually news reached the outlands that Swiftkill, the former alpha, had been captured by Alteron. When Sunrush called the pack together to gather a rescue group, the Delta Scythetrill showed her ass, demanding to go and saying that even if Sunrush didn't allow her, she would go anyway. Sunrush swiftly reprimanded Scythetrill by biting her muzzle, scarring the Delta. Afterwards, Eve and the other council members were called upon to pass judgement on Scythetrill -- the judgement passed that, due to her obvious insubordination and disrespect, Scythetrill was to be stripped of both her Delta and her assassin rank.
A few days after this, Eve answered a call from the flats, where she came upon Loath, alpha of a marshland pack known as Asylum. Loath told Eve that he had kidnapped a child of the oasis and, since he smelled of a child from her home, Eve believed him. Loath kidnapped Eve then, intending on using her for leverage with the outlands, passage on their lands in exchange for the safe return of their beta. Eve stayed in Asylum for a good long while, meeting Lauren, Murmur, Faustina, St. Wolfe, and a slew of others from Asylum. Loath challenged for a new territory and beat the alpha, and Asylum moved from the marshes into a new territory. When Loath sent a messenger, Lauren, back to the outlands with the terms, Sunrush and Rhinjin turned the offer down, knowing that if they did so their beta would be killed. Still they did so, and although Loath had said he would have her killed, he did not; instead, he met Eve and told her of the news, and she spit in his face, tossing insults. They fought and Eve lost her eye, and gained quite a few scars.
Eve sought solitude on the island in the swamps surrounding Asylum's new land, and as a severe thunderstorm broke out across the land, Eve fled Asylum under it's cover, fleeing to the Ancient Forests to recuperate. Asylum fell in her absence, Loath and his twin, Loathe, abandoning their pack and leaving Asylum in a state of disarray. Eve found Lauren and Murmur, two old Asylum members, in the forest. They three spoke for a while, settling their differences. Eve offered to have them come with her to the outlands, and gave them three days to answer. On the second day, Eve found Murmur being threatened by an old Asylum Inmate, Jeremy, who had apparently killed Lauren's son Nessa. Everything changed when Eve's own son, Vanguard, came into the picture and Jeremy attacked him. Eve flew into action and, alongside a stranger named Lost, subdued and knocked Jeremy out. Eve made her way back to the desert she still called her home, and upon her return was met by Rhinjin, Swiftkill, Rudy, and Sunrush, the very wolf she hated and blamed for what had been done to her. Eve kept herself cool, focusing on keeping the outlands wolves from attacking Lauren and Murmur, who had accompanied her and her son, Vanguard, back to the oasis.
She spoke with Lauren and spent a bit of time with her son before they each departed on their own journeys. For a while, Eve stayed at the spitting rock, recovering from her injuries in silence, seething inwardly. Hunger eventually drove the mutt to hunt, and after filling her stomach, she ran in to Meissa, one of the children she had seen in Asylum -- the daughter of her old enemy, Faustina. Instead of attacking, Eve engaged the youth in conversation. Afterwards, she ran in to Firebound, a wolf previously of the outlands, as well; they talked the night away, swapping stories.
Not long after, Eve emerged from her den one morning to take up position on top of a large sand dune (watching, ever day, and the mutt really didn't know why she felt the need to play the role of sentinel to her old home), when she was found by Scythetrill, Bloodclot, and Sorgun -- now Gravestep -- the last of which was a good friend to her before all hell had broken loose. It was then that Eve figured out that no one knew of what had happened to her, or the decisions that Sunrush -- and the council -- had so heartlessly made. After departing, she ran in to Warbound, and the two spoke for a while.
Feeling uncomfortable in the outlands, Eve left, fleeing to the marshlands and winding up at the old Asylum land. There she encountered Faustina, but instead of fighting, as Eve had believed would happen, the two wolves began to talk, and be civil. Later, in the ancient forest, she would encounter yet another old Asylum wolf, Kontra, though no violence would occur at this meeting, either. She eventually returned to the desert, the dunes luring her back, calling to her as they always would. Early one morning as the sun rose, she approached the oasis and, at a distance of about two miles, howled for Sunrush. She did not wish to talk with the alpha, but instead challenge her; many wolves answered her call, some supporting her, some condemning her. Sunrush arrived, and the two left the group, setting their arena away from all of the others.
